Charismatics are defined as Christians who share with Pentecostals an emphasis on the gifts of the Spirit but who remain a part of a mainline church. Even so, the charismatic church is still often looked at as being "odd" or "untamed" by many who belong to non-demon/evangelical churches in the west.
