This week I’m taking pleasure in some of my favourite magazine cover stories – from Vogue Korea's '90s colour to Rihanna for Vogue China's Gen Z title Vogue+ and Björk for Vogue Scandinavia.
I also discuss the importance of Björk to the worlds of fashion and music and of course, my old favourite topic - retouching - comes into it.

It’s a cover that has had fashion and music lovers worldwide talking so I wanted to to break down the cover, who’s involved and share some of the feedback I received when I

March 08, 2024 Ep. 243: Creating the characters of Truman Capote and the original influencers for FX Network show Feud: Capote vs The Swans with makeup department head Jackie Risotto
This week I’m talking about a new FX show, an 8-part series of the Feud - Capote vs the Swans. It’s a show I’ve been looking forward to seeing forever.
In this episode, as well as sharing background on this stylish new show from Ryan Murphy, I’m also sharing an interview with makeup department head Jackie Risotto.
Jackie recently won the award for best Period and/or Character makeup on the Bradley Cooper movie Maestro at the recent Makeup Artists and Hair Stylists Awards, alongside three other makeup crew.
In 2019 she won an Emmy for Outstanding Makeup for a limited series or movie (non-prosthetic) for FX show Fosse/Verdun, a miniseries on the life of actor and choreographer Bob Fosse.
More recently she’s worked on Only Murders in the Building. In this interview she shares the products she cannot live without on set and more.

My first book is Face Forward by makeup artist Kevyn Aucoin; the second is a photography book showcasing the work of New Yorker Slim Aarons and my final book is more of a mini magazine, a very special edition of Vogue Italia featuring black Barbies in celebration of the history-making July 2008 Black Issue.
