    Case Discussant: Dr. Eli Miloslavsky is a rheumatologist and Associate Professor of Medicine at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Dr. Eli’s Career has been focused on medical education across all stages of training. He Serves as a curriculum phase director at Harvard Medical School, Firm Chief in the MGH Internal Medicine Residency Program and an Associate Program Director in the MGH Rheumatology Fellowship. He also leads the MGH Clinician Educator Track for Department of Medicine subspecialty fellows. 

    Case Presenter: Dr. Ana Valle, MD, MHS is a rheumatology fellow at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She attended Johns Hopkins University and the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health where she studied public health during her undergraduate and graduate years. Afterwards, she worked as a research coordinator which introduced her to the field of rheumatology and instilled a passion for clinical research. She then obtained her medical degree from the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell and completed residency at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, NY, where she was awarded Intern of the Year and Ambulatory Chief. She is pursuing a clinical research career where she dedicates her time to address health inequities within rheumatology and further understand idiopathic inflammatory myopathies. In her free time, she enjoys barre, podcasts, and spending time with her two cats (Dolly & Stevie).

Through her experiences witnessing the challenges faced by patients in underserved areas and hearing their stories, Aye is dedicated to advancing health equity, global health initiatives, and various aspects of neurology, both in clinical practice and medical education. She is going to apply for a neurology residency program this year. Outside of work, she spends time playing piano, jogging along trails, and listening to music.

    Julia Armendariz, MD, is a hospitalist and clinician educator in the Bay Area who works closely with trainees on the wards and in the classroom.  She is the co-director for the Medical Education Elective for the Stanford Internal Medicine Residency, where she shares her passion for Med Ed with Stanford junior and senior residents.  Her special areas of interest within Med Ed are communication, specifically feedback, and the struggling learner. She is also a facilitator for a national CME course called MODEL (Maximizing Ongoing Development and Educational Leadership) within the Veteran’s Administration, where she delivers a feedback workshop for attending physicians.  She is currently collaborating with faculty at Stanford and other academic programs for research projects, including resident perspectives on faculty feedback delivery, how to improve feedback skills for attending physicians, and how to coach feedback givers. Outside of medicine, Julia loves gardening, the ocean, and spending time with family and friends

    Case Discussant: Dr. Greg Kirschen is a Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellow at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania with a particular interest in pharmacology and metabolism in pregnancy. Before fellowship, he completed an MD/PhD at Stony Brook University in New York with a PhD in molecular pharmacology and then completed residency training in Ob/Gyn at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. Teaching and clinical reasoning are his passions and he continues to teach and mentor students from the undergraduate to medical student and resident level.

    Case Presenter: Dr. Mary Peeler is originally from Memphis, Tennessee. She completed her undergraduate degree in Health Policy and Management at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She pursued medical school and residency in Ob/Gyn at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, Maryland. She also completed a Master’s of Public Health at the Harvard TH Chan School, concentrating in Social and Behavioral Health. She is now in her first year of Maternal Fetal Medicine fellowship back at UNC. Outside of medicine, Mary loves hiking, exploring new places and gardening. 

    Correction to discussion: – Outcomes for mode of delivery at 24 weeks: outcomes are comparable between c-section and vaginal delivery for breech singletons
