The Two Jacks discuss figures on global energy consumption. The figures show that renewables are only filling the needs of new energy. Fossil fuels remain widely used with consumption set to increase in the developing world and especially in high energy consumption nations like China, and India.

With the release of the IPCC report and its continued warnings on carbon emissions and the rise of global temperatures, it leaves the planet even more vulnerable.

Meanwhile in Australia, the public supports the Albanese government's superannuation changes and in NSW, Labor's Chris Minns is looking like he may be the next premier but is the polling soft? The Two Jacks analyse where the election will be won or lost.

In sport, the NRL round kicks off with a win to competition debutantes, the Dolphins.
