The current mental health system is broken. So many of us light leaders know this to be true, and yet our healers and healthcare workers continue to burn out at an unsustainable rate, to the detriment of both healthcare workers and clients. So this week on the Conscious Leadership Podcast, my dear friend and resiliency coach Amanda Anderson and I go deep into a critical conversation about what systemic changes need to be made in order for healers to be able to focus on what they do best - healing.
With years of firsthand experience as a clinician in mental health treatment, Amanda recognizes the persistent trauma and toxicity facing healthcare workers today. This very issue led her to the coaching space, where she uses her past experiences to teach resilience and alignment practices to other light leaders in high-stress environments. In this conversation, Amanda shares both what she has seen and experienced in these traumatized systems along with her suggestions for building resilience, combating burnout and recognizing your worth.
It’s imperative for healthcare workers and healers to build up their own alignment and resiliency practices in order to protect their energy while working in the mental health field. While a new system is entirely necessary and long overdue, right now, we need to prevent more healers from experiencing burn out. Use the practices suggested in today’s conversation to respect yourself and your energy with resiliency and alignment.
This week’s guest was Amanda Anderson! Amanda helps professionals in high-stress environments manage their stress and avoid burnout so they can really serve and lead their clients and teams to fill their missions. Find more from Amanda on Instagram at @the.healing.place.coaching or on her website.

If there was ever a perfect week for this conversation with my dear friend Rachel Overvoll, it’s this week, because I think we all could use some additional self-love and self-pleasure right now. Rachel is a Sexual Reclamation Coach, author, and badass human being who joined me on the podcast for a real discussion all about connecting more deeply with ourselves through self-pleasure practices. Yep, we’re talking about masturbation, and Rachel has some amazing suggestions for every woman looking to incorporate more pleasure into her life.
For too long, women have shied away from conversations around self-pleasure, masturbation, and putting our needs and desires first. We’re never taught how to truly appreciate our bodies and instead approach self-pleasure from a space of shame and guilt. But as Rachel explained this week, masturbation is truly a cornerstone to learning to love your body, getting in tune with your body, and determining what your body really needs to feel pleasure in other areas of life. Rachel also shared her incredible healing journey after leaving the fundamentalist evangelical religion she grew up in, and how sharing her story led her to her own sexual reclamation and coaching practice.
This week’s episode will inspire you to experience the joy and power that you can generate within yourself, and honor your body by putting your needs first. Get out of your head and into your body by evaluating your own self-pleasure practices (or start one, if you haven’t already!).
This week’s guest was Rachel Overvoll! Rachel is a sexual reclamation coach, author of the book Finding Feminism, and a badass light leader, woman, and human being. Find more from Rachel on Instagram at @rachelovervoll, on her website at www.rachelovervoll.com, and be sure to give her podcast, Let’s Talk Pleasure, a listen to as well!

The self-healing journey can be one of the hardest paths to take in life and, yet, one of the most beautiful. My guest this week on The Conscious Leadership Podcast knows this well. I’m so pleased to have my dear friend Danny Pimentel, Owner and Founder of Halcyon Days Mental Health Coaching and fellow PsyD cohort member, on the podcast to have a frank discussion about trauma, identity, and why it’s more important than ever for men to step into their healing.
This week, Danny vulnerably shares his story of childhood trauma and abuse with us, and how he was able to heal and find his purpose through his experience. His journey and perspectives led us deep into conversation about self-love, worthiness, toxic masculinity, and belonging, and through our discussion, we ultimately recognized that “showing up for yourself is the most important thing you can do for yourself.”
From this episode, you’ll begin to understand the intricacies of healing trauma. While self-healing is difficult and painful, it’s a journey that is well worth the struggle. Hang in there, and if you need support, don’t hesitate to contact someone you really vibe with to help you through because there really is true peace and healing on the other side.
This week’s guest was Danny Pimentel! Danny is the owner and founder of Halcyon Days coaching, with a specific focus on helping humans recover from anxiety and trauma while helping them own their sexual identity - particularly in the realm of men’s mental health. Sam Altieri is one of my closest friends, as well as a powerhouse health and wellness coach who has built an incredibly successful six-figure business and a devout Instagram following. She’s my guest today on the Conscious Leadership Podcast, and this week we’re taking on a conversation about real-life techniques and strategies to authentically grow on social media (no gimmicky techniques, follow loops, or paid promotion!).
In this episode, Sam and I dive into an extensive discussion about how to show up on social media by sharing our lived experiences, our expertise, and the things we’re passionate about. We know that allowing vulnerability and exposure on our pages can feel “I’m-about-throw-up” scary, but fear not! We will be getting into some helpful ways to manage these fears, while recognizing the huge impact we can have on others just by sharing our truth and believing that our story matters.
What really came out of this conversation though, is that to authentically thrive in the social media space, we need to show up consistently, and share with depth. That’s the magic formula, right there, and how Sam and I both built our communities (and businesses).
This episode will teach you that when you decide to do the inner work, share that journey with vulnerability, and show up everyday- you're bound to call in your ideal audience, too.
This week’s guest was Sam Altieri! Sam helps high achieving women prioritize their needs, honor their bodies, and gain confidence to achieve their dreams. She coaches women to be badasses, basically! She also has an amazing wellness podcast called Balance with Sam, so be sure to check that out as well. Find more from Sam on Instagram at @saltylifts or on her website at balancewithsam.com.

I am so excited to share this week’s podcast episode with you because my guest is such a source of levity and insight: Alex Pack, psychotherapist and self-proclaimed “meme lord” behind the popular mental health account Future Mind Reader on Instagram. He is an amazing example of someone who has figured out how to balance a humorous, influential public persona while also navigating the clinical world as a professional.
In our discussion, he gave voice to a lot of the inner struggle that comes with being a creator from a place of authenticity: the pressure to create, the difficulty in finding your unique voice, the pushback and criticism from viewers, and the sheer fear that can come from trying to show up. Alex and I also talked about the importance of humor for our souls and our lives, and how a new generation of therapists and healers are finding novel ways to modernize mental wellness and mental health.
Alex is such a testament to the kinds of light leaders who are coming up now. From him, you’ll take away inspiration to keep going in your own authentic journey to be seen. And if you’re looking for a laugh, definitely check out one of my favorite places on the internet, Future Mind Reader!
This week’s guest was Alex Pack! He is a psychotherapist, and also the founder and creator of Future Mind Reader - a mental health meme account on Instagram that takes on some of the heavier elements of mental health with levity. Find more from Alex on Instagram at @futuremindreader.

This year has brought on a major shift in society’s understanding of social justice, privilege, inclusion, diversity, and healing - which is exactly why I invited BIPOC empowerment and mindset coach Dr. Jessica Moy to this week’s episode of The Conscious Leadership Podcast. Jessica’s zone of genius is in empowering women of color and our conversation inspired a plethora of questions that we all can begin asking ourselves, as entrepreneurs and light leaders who aim to create ethically aligned businesses.
In this week’s episode, Jess and I discussed how to balance a fair energy exchange between creating abundance and recognizing the value in our work, while still serving our clients from a space of integrity, authenticity, and empowerment. We also got into the importance of examining our impact within larger systems of oppression, and how exactly to start unpacking the privileges and biases that unconsciously show up in our businesses. Also, we dive into the many ways we can incorporate antiracist practices into the fabric of our companies.
From this conversation, you’ll take away tools to deconstruct any programming and limiting subconscious beliefs that you may have. The #1 thing I learned from Jess: by building a strong foundation of self-compassion and inner work, conscious leaders can contribute to a new inclusive, diverse, and ethical system for everyone.
This week’s guest was Dr. Jessica Moy! She is one of my very best friends, an empowerment and mindset coach for conscious leaders with an emphasis on empowering women of color, and a badass female entrepreneur. In this week’s episode, Elizabeth and I had an amazing discussion about all things spirit! Elizabeth shared with us her journey into becoming a spiritual diviner, the things she’s learned from the spiritual traditions she grew up with, and how African spiritualism and ancestral veneration are at the center of her personal practices. We also talk about her recent observations of trends in the collective consciousness, and the mass awakening brought on by the current pandemic. Last, we dove into how science and spirituality are more related than we think, and we discussed the importance of finding your purpose through what makes you feel most alive. Elizabeth also offered some great actionable tips on keeping ego in check, and working on yourself as a spiritual leader and healer. I hope you’ll find our conversation insightful, inspirational, and impactful!

In this week’s episode, Elliott Lea and I got deep into conversation about the subconscious mind. Elliott shared with us an introduction to the healing modality of PSYCH-K. We also talked at length about dealing with resistance to challenging perceptions, creating new realities, and ultimately questioning our subconscious programming in order to create lasting changes in our beliefs and behaviors. This was such a fun discussion that touched on so many different approaches to mindset work, and will definitely leave you empowered to start examining your own perceptions after listening.

I am over the moon to share this conversation I had with my dear friend and very own mentor, Amanda Bucci. This was such a powerful discussion, as Amanda and I got deep into discussing how social media can be used to uplift human consciousness, and our own role as light leaders to lead this shift. We also talked about ethics and power dynamics in the coaching space, detaching our egos from our mission on social media, and how important it is to authentically approach continued learning despite any insecurities. There are a ton of actionable takeaways from this discussion, regardless of where you are in your entrepreneurial journey, and Amanda offers some very insightful perspective on what needs healing before a leader can truly step into their full influence as a light leader. This episode is NOT one to miss!

In this episode, Emmy and I dive into conversations about trauma, healing, and authenticity. Emmy shares with us her story of survival from an abusive relationship and her path to healing from complex PTSD. We talk about creating a lifestyle of healing, and how embodying the healing journey with authenticity can be an impactful mirror to others suffering silently. We also talk about why it is important to de-monopolize the wellness space in order to bring about greater healing. This episode brings back the conversation to some of the struggles found in early-stage conscious entrepreneurship, and will be especially helpful for anyone working along their healing journey.
This week’s guest was Emmy Marie: the owner + founder of Blooming Forward, as a Trauma Recovery Coach. Emmy also hosts a popular educational platform on trauma recovery on IG, Blooming Forward, that is a great space and community to meet other people on the self-healing journey, as well as a resource to find information on healing from trauma.
