Last week's massacre in Colorado (10 casualties) and the seemingly "ancient" slaughter in Atlanta, Georgia (8 casualties) were eclipsed by fresh butcherings. A gunman opened fired in Orange County, Southern California (4 fatalities). A 9-year-old was among the victims. In Washington D.C., a black male, Noah Green, is reported to have rammed a security barricade near the White House. He allegedly killed a Capitol Security officer and lunged at an official with a knife. Gus encourages that this incident - like all others - be careful scrutinized as many inaccuracies were reported in the 2013 killing of Miriam I. Jeff Bezos's progeny has steadfastly resisted calls to accept unionization, claiming they have the best treated slaves of any plantation. They employed all manner of propaganda in pleading their case. Also, we've endured 12+ months of covid-19 disruptions of the workplace. This week Facebook, Uber, and Microsoft and Google and a number of other businesses announced that employees should plan to return to the office at some point later in this year. Many held out hopes that remote work, or at least a "hybrid" system may be a possibility for the future. With the rush to return to a "normal" work environment, a number of businesses are also offering incentives for workers to get vaccinated. The Context of White Supremacy hosts the 5th study session on Jack Olsen's Last Man Standing: The Tragedy and Triumph of Geronimo Pratt. Olsen is a White male, and a prolific author. Olsen wrote for Sport Illustrated during the 1960's, and penned a celebrated series examining black athletes and Racism. The magazine also credits Olsen with writing one of the best biographies on boxing icon and attempted counter-racist Muhammad Ali. Last week, the homoeroticism of the text took center stage when Julius Butler took the witness stand to testify that Geronimo Pratt brandished a firearm and threatened to shoot Ollie Taylor - a teenage black male Panther member. Butler added that Pratt "cocked the gun" and achieved full erection simultaneously. It's unclear if Butler's COINTELPRO handlers instructed him to add this conspicuous bit of false testimony, or he added this spicy anecdote of his own volition. At this point, Cochran is still arrogantly dismissive of Pratt's claims that a larger force is conspiring to falsely convict him of murder. Context of White Supremacy host Gus T. Renegade witnessed "anti-asian violence" over the weekend in Seattle, Washington. Downtown Seattle has a reputation for all manner of hooliganism, thuggery, and drug trafficking. After a year of George Floyd protests and Covid-19 restrictions, downtown has seen a rash of business closings and increased riffraff. Seattle's Chinatown is at the lower end of downtown, and they've hosted a number of protests opposing attacks on "asians." Within this milieu, things unfolded in a matter of seconds. Last week in Georgia, Robert Aaron Long killed 8 (6 asian/non-white females). This week, 21-year-old Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa killed 10 people at a Colorado shopping store. The incidents prompted a fresh round of yammering about gun laws and reminders of the many White terrorists who've selected Colorado as their killing field over the years (Columbine 1999, Aurora 2012). A NPR reported noted that black people have suffered most from the increase in mass shootings since the beginning of the Covid-19 crisis. In Virginia, Governor Ralph "Coonman" Northam made history abolishing the 400 year history of the death penalty in the commonwealth. And around the world, there is increasing talk of a "covid-19 passport."

However, this does not signal the end of the economic catastrophe and workplace disruption associated with the pandemic. Last week we discussed a black male delivery driver who was terrorized by an off-duty White enforcement official, Pierce County Sheriff Ed Troyer, in Washington state. Sheriff Troyer is being investigated, but these type of incidents are a daily occurrence because of White Supremacy. This week in New York, a White Woman, Queens, New York's Stephanie Denaro, refused to wear mask and proceeded to verbally berate a black bakery worker. Olsen explained how COINTELPRO antics kept Panther members squabbling with each other, and sometimes other black people. These disputes led to Pratt being expelled from the party and a prohibition against any members testifying on behalf of Pratt. This caused witnesses like Kathleen Cleaver, who could verify that Pratt was not in the same area code at the time of the so called tennis court murder, to remain silent. Pratt wondered if BPP co-founder Huey P. Newton's substance abuse problems contributed to his unpredictable and sometimes irrational thinking. Six of the eight fatally wounded people are reportedly asian females, while the other two are classified as White. Long insists he did not commit an act of White Supremacy, but, rather, was striking out at massage parlors because of his "sexual addiction." Long's terrorist attack distracted from jury selection in the Derek Chauvin case. The White officer is being tried for killing George Floyd in 2020. 12 jurors have been selected, and half of them are White.
