Connor Curran is the creator and Co-Owner of Local Laundry, a Canadian Made company that uses clothing to bring people together. By harbouring community they aim to create a positive impact on the world around them.
Local Laundry aims to build community through their 5 Guiding Pillars:
70% of all clothing consumed prior to 1980 in Canada, was made in Canada.

Over 40% of trans and gender diverse individuals have reported attempting suicide due to the discrimination, stigma and systemic barriers that have been place on them.
Over 90% of suicide attempts happen within the waiting period for access of timely trans affirming care.
In my second episode I had an informative conversation with Anna Murphy about the Transgender and LGBTQ2S+ community.
Anna helped to shed light onto:
-defining gender diverse vs. transgender
-what ignited her passion towards helping transgender youth and her involvement within the LGBTQ2S+ community
-gender-affirming surgery
