He also tossed 4 of his victims in the Des Plaines river. Gacy was nothing short of an absolute monster.

This weeks episode is absolutely horrid beyond measure.  In August of 2012, the town of Hendersonville, TN would be rocked forever when a 15 year old boy named Zachary Davis brutally bludgeoned his own mother to death. As Melanie Davis slept, Zachary struck her in the head nearly 20 times with a sledgehammer, creating one of the most disturbing and gruesome crime scenes that Tennessee had ever seen. Melanie was only 46 years old when she was murdered.  Zachary then set his house on fire and fled, hoping that the fire would also kill his older brother who was also living at the home.  Zachary would later state to police that he killed his mother because the voice of his deceased father told him to do so. For our episode this week, Gage is taking us back to 1800’s West Virginia to discuss an absolutely chilling tale! The name “Greenbrier Ghost” was given to a woman named Elva Zona Heaster Shue. Zona was a beautiful young woman from Greenbrier county, WV.  in January of 1897, just 3 months after marrying a man named Edward “Trout” Shue, Zona would be found dead in her home. Initially, Zona’s cause of death would be ruled as a heart attack.  Days later, the ghost of Zona appeared to her mother to tell her that she was murdered by her husband.  Join us, as Gage tells us about the only known case in U.S history in which the testimony of a ghost was used in a murder trial!  Let us know what you think! This weeks case is going to be a long, sad tale, so buckle in you guys. For this episode, Rae will be giving us her complete analysis of the Aileen Wuornos case. Aileen was named America’s “first female serial killer” after she shot and killed 7 men between the years of 1989 and 1990.  Aileen Wuornos was sentenced to death 6 times for her crimes, and she would be executed by lethal injection on October 9th, 2002 at a Florida prison. She was only 46 years old.  To this day, people remain torn in terms of how they view Aileen and her story. One could even say that her story is a true example of the horrors in society.  Was Aileen Wuornos a cold blooded killer? Or was she simply a victim to her own circumstances within a system that failed her?
