Deshawn Walker, a Philadelphia teen who was shot 8 times in February learned recently that he would not be allowed to attend, with Joyner explaining that the ultimate priority is not only safety of her students but public safety. Joyner delves deep into the decision by her school, remarking that a student does not get shot multiple times by an individual who hopped out of a vehicle without being the target of said crime.
