Full Hour | Today, Dom led off the Dom Giordano Program by previewing what’s to come on today’s show, telling that we’ll revisit the Mark Houck trial with J.D. Mullane who’s live on the scene, hear from Liz Preate-Havey after yesterday’s Union League event featuring Florida Government Ron DeSantis, and talk to Philly Magazine’s Victor Fiorillo, who suggests that Philadelphia shouldn’t keep flags at half-staff for the late radio legend Jerry Blavat. Dom sticks with the topic of DeSantis in Philadelphia, playing back some clips of protestors outside yesterday’s event, with one suggesting that Philadelphia remove the club’s non-profit status for hosting the politician who they vehemently disagree with.

Then, Dom welcomes Philadelphia Magazine columnist Victor Fiorillo back onto the Dom Giordano Program to discuss a couple recent columns he’s written for the outlet in the past week. First, Fiorillo defends a column posted today in Philly Mag that suggests that Philadelphia should not have flown flags at half-staff after the death of late radio legend Jerry Blavat. Fiorillo tells that his inbox has filled up very quickly after the posting of the article with comments both in favor and against the legend, further defending his stance against the noble move by Philadelphia government. Then, Fiorillo tells about another topic he spoke about, being the decision by Philadelphia Parks and Recreation to remove the swimming requirement for lifeguard applicants, explain why he’s so vehemently against the decision.
