Full Hour | Today, Dom led off the Dom Giordano Program by discussing the reaction to John Fetterman’s NBC News interview with Dasha Burns, in which Dasha Burns admitted that there is a definite difference in the candidate now when compared to prior to his stroke. Burns said to an NBC News host that, even though multiple liberal reporters are pushing back with different opinions, she was the only one to sit in the same room with Fetterman alone and stands by her statements. Then, Dom provides an update on crime in Philadelphia, telling of a local news story of a Councilmember who noted that Wawa is considering cancelling their plans for expansion due to rampant theft, and reminds listeners that up to this point, Police still haven’t arrested any of the multiple teens who ransacked a Wawa in Mayfair, an incident that went viral on the internet. Then, after announcing the today’s Side Topic, Giordano plays back a clip from Joe Biden saying that his son Beau died in Iraq, with Dom using this to make his point again that Biden uses Beau’s service anytime things are getting hard for the administration.
Then, Dom welcomes in Senator Pat Toomey to the Dom Giordano Program to discuss his time spent as a United States Senator as he prepares for retirement. First, Dom takes Pat back to 12 years ago when he was elected as a Senator, asking what it felt like when he beat out Joe Sestak for the Senate seat. Then, Giordano discusses the legacy left by Toomey’s time in office, with Pat explaining that he’s always felt he’s been a student of economics his whole adult life and willing to dig into the painful minutia of government budgeting and taxation, which became a large focus of his time in office. Also, Toomey tells of legislation that he helped launch and has supported throughout his time in office, including the work he’s done to help police throughout the Country.
