We went down to D.C. and did our cherry blossom thing as we led a run through the pouring rain on Saturday and raced a windy route on Sunday. We recap that whole thing, we talk about Tetris, we check in on our own running, and we tell you how to hang with us in Boston. Thanks for everyone who showed up this past weekend, can't wait to see a bunch of y'all in less than two weeks.
Always cool when you're qualify for the Olympic Trials once. But how about doing it twice, while working at your day job as a Boeing engineer? That's exactly what Theresa Hailey has done, lowering her marathon time to 2:36 in the process with a top-25 finish at the Chicago Marathon in 2022. We talk about how she got into running, balancing her running with a full-time job, and holding down pacing duties at the 2022 California International Marathon (CIM).
It's raining in Baltimore, and we're running in it. In the Nike Vaporfly Next%3, specifically. We talk about the update to Nike's iconic racing shoe, while mixing in some conversation about electric fences, On Cloudsurfer launch in NYC, and a bunch more.
On this guest episode of The Drop, Thomas and Robbe chat with Ciele Athletics co-founder Jeremy Bresnen about starting and managing a run apparel brand, surviving Covid, their commitment to not greenwash, and more. We love Ciele's caps and apparel, so make sure you check them out and pick up a nice piece for the upcoming warmer months.
Post-apocalyptic runs, Meg's strong thoughts on The Whale, our sleep styles, and more. Also– the New Balance Propel v4 may be the best budget trainer money can buy.
On this episode of The Drop, we talk to actor Anders Holm (Workaholics, Inventing Anna, At Midnight) about comedy, acting, his love for the triathlon, and of course– running. He's a big running shoe nerd and we cover his favorite shoes and a whole lot more.
We eventually get to talking about the Nike Pegasus 40 (around the one-hour mark), but first we made a detour into our Tokyo Marathon hangover, childhood trauma, whether or not soulmates are a real thing, what we're watching on Netflix, and more.
If you're in New York City, come join us for the On Cloudsurfer release and shakeout run on Thursday, March 23: https://www.strava.com/clubs/490966/group_events/1343920
Injuries are a common refrain as runners, and often times, we try our worst to limit them. So what's why we wanted to talk to Dr. Eoin Everard, a chartered physiotherapist with a PhD in Biomechanics. Professionally he has lectured in Ireland for over 10 years on Sports Medicine and Biomechanics publishing several peer reviewed studies.
On this episode, we talk about everything from stretching to warn-ups to the secrets to a healthy spine. From a competitive perspective he has won 5 national senior running titles and has represented Ireland on the international stage from 800m to 10k cross-country. He is a sub-4-minute miler and ran sub-14 minutes for the 5k last year. Finally, he is the current indoor 3000m European O35 champion.

Buckle up, this is one for the long run. The gang recaps the ENTIRE Tokyo Marathon weekend and their first impressions as noobs in Tokyo. From travel to food to weird stories and race successes and failures, it's all here. Be forewarned, this episode is a chronological one, so if you just want to hear about the race, it's gonna take a little time. We think the ride is worth it.
Thanks for Asics for hosting us as media partners for the event, it was an unforgettable experience.
Thomas and Robbe chat with professional running coach, Andrew Kastor, who helped coach Robbe during his Tokyo Marathon training. He's also the coach of Mammoth Track Club and the husband of former U.S. marathon record-holder Deena Kastor.
