The gang talks shop about the On Cloudsurfer and Tokyo Marathon prep. We also talk about how Maurten is definitely operating in the James Bond villain world, Thomas's learning Japanese status, can we adopt red pandas, Robbe's biggest fears, Legends of the Hidden Temple, and more.
Look, if you're on Instagram you know who it is. Matt Choi is a runner with a large following on Instagram and TikTok. He's been in the news lately, so we talk about the Houston Marathon, where the hell he came from and how he got into running, and whether or not he sees himself as an influencer.

Meg visited Running Warehouse with Wide Foot Jarrett and Brandon where they really lived the high life. Robbe breaks his non-drinking streak. Thomas continues his drinking streak. We also talk about bedtime stories, monster trucks, our training for Tokyo, the Hoka Rocket X 2 and the Atreyu Daily Trainer.
Remember getting an Eastbay catalog and begging your mom for the latest Diadora drip? Well beg no more, you're an adult now and can buy your own Diadora gear, like the made-in-Italy Atomo v7000. On this episode, we talk to Bryan Poerner, CEO of Diadora North America, about their process of designing and developing shoes, the rise and fall and return of Diadora, Italian manufacturing, and more.

You asked for more nonsense, you got it. In this episode of The Drop "running" podcast, we cover everything from fortune and misfortune cookies to race day haircuts to Thomas wanting to almost quit running after this past weekend. We also talk about the Nike Invincible 3 and honestly a lot of other stuff but we forget what it was because it basically leaves our mind after it leaves our mouths.
Want to know how to halve your first marathon time? Ask Jereny Rivera, which is what we did for this guest episode of The Drop.
We're changing it up, folks. From now on, you're getting two podcasts a week: one that's just us, and one that's just the guest (dropping on Monday). Unless it doesn't work, then we'll go back to the original format.
Most of our guests don't sell out arenas or tour with Blink-182, but this one does. Matt West is the guitarist for UK pop-punk band Neck Deep, and he's also a runner who found running as a way to live a healthy life while touring the world nonstop.

Houston Marathon weekend was a wild one, with shakeout runs, meeting listeners and followers, and of course– racing. Meg recaps her race day as she hit another PR, while Thomas came back from injury to finish the half marathon strong. No guest this week, but we do bring back the Asics Superblast onto the show, as we've all been picking it up for a lot of our runs these days.
