This month’s episode features Per Nyfelt. Per studied in Beijing under Sun Jianyun, who was Sun Lutang’s daughter. Per was an early pioneer who traveled to Beijing in order to study the arts of Sun style Xingyi Quan, Bagua Zhang and Taiji Quan directly with the Sun family through Sun Jianyun. During his time studying in China, he also studied Xin Yi Liu He Quan under Li Zunsi in Shanghai, as well as Yi Quan under one of the Yao brothers, Yao Chengrong, whom he still trains under today.   

Per recounts his experiences in China and what it was like studying under Sun Jianyun in this fascinating discussion.
