Geoff sweeting began his study of the arts of Xinyi Quan and Bagua Zhang in Perth and following this he moved to Brisbane. He then achieved his qualifications in acupuncture and herbal medicine and following this he traveled to China to further his studies in both Chinese medicine as well as the martial arts. While in Guangxi province he studied Bagua Zhang and Taijiquan. He then traveled to Beijing to find the roots of his arts and there he began studying with Wang Tong, who is one of Li Ziming’s original 8 disciples and a xingyi quan disciple of Sun Fenglin. He has developed Silentium Wrestling which is a new approach to the functional and practical study and application of these skills in a combative tradition. In addition to these arts, Geoff also studies wrestling, Judo and BJJ under Professor Jason Miller.
