#1- Corona virus update for Latin America:

After a few weeks of lockdown and 4 and 5pm curfews, what’s it like in Latin America now? First off, most Latinos are now dead broke even though most Latin countries are giving their citizens small cash and voucher handouts (50 to 100 bucks a month). Today’s “boots on the ground” story takes place at an LP gas station and it starkly illustrates the problem.

#1- Latin American Corona Virus Update:

Even though there are continuous lines with people spaced 1 to 2 meters apart, so far there are NO shortages at the markets and retail stores. BTW, I personally know of not a single person who has symptoms or has tested positive… WTF?

#2- My Own Portable SOLAR ENERGY System- PART 1:

Everything you need to know about buying and setting up your own complete PORTABLE solar energy system.

I am referring to a MUST HAVE portable unit that can supply emergency power for your basic needs (TV, computer, phone refrigerator and a few lights). That can supply renewable energy for hours at a time (except for the big stuff like A/C, electric heaters, electric dryers and stoves). One that will last 10-20 years and can be disconnected in minutes… with components you can pick up with one hand, toss in the car and reassemble in minutes at any new location. Yes, things are changing at lightning speed in the portable solar industry space and I am continuously analyzing all the major brands out there and have some very good news for you…

#1- As the corona virus hits Latin America, the “Happiness index” plummets:

All Latin countries now have curfews and quarantines. Most start at 4 or 5pm and last until sunrise. As a result, not too many happy faces on the street these days. The percentage of Latinos remaining positive and happy remains unknown, since masks obscure the fact.

#2- “Social Distancing” is severely disrupting typical Latin habits:

Forget handshakes- traditional Latin greetings that invade personal spaces like kisses and cheek bumps are taking a big hit. Latinos are flabbergasted and not at all happy about it.

#3- Hygiene issues stem from minimum water usage:

Therefore certain socioeconomic classes will suffer much more from the virus than others.

#4- A “Dear Johnny” letter from a Cuban Exile in who now lives in the USA:

Among other points he makes, he is confused as to why Americans so ignorantly embrace the same socialist policies that so obviously destroyed their own homeland as well as Venezuela.

#5- Why you definitely need a propane gas tank or two (the best are 50# or 100# tanks) as an insurance policy whether you live in Latin America or the states:

DYK that one 50# pound tank will supply an average family of 4’s gas oven/stove cooking needs for 4 to 6 months, and its directly adaptable to your present gas stove with no need for modifications.

#1- Corona virus Latin American update:

Some Latin countries are going overboard on the rules and regs while others remain rather lax and indecisive. The key thing to remember is that Latin Governments love to copy cat and pass the same laws the USA does- with only about 10% of the enforcement capabilities (and that’s a good thing)

#2- "Plan B" Procrastinator Alert and Reality check!

Yes, the bubble has burst and life as we know it has changed. Yet we all were warned over and over again the titanic was sinking. The question is "Might it be too late to get started on a “Plan B”?

#1- What the mass media isn’t telling us about Cuba:

#2- All over Latin America, you’ll hear the locals use the term “es en los manos de dios”:

Latinos toss it around quite a bit but ever so more frequently in these times of crisis. It means, “It’s in God’s hands”. Latinos often blurt it out when things aren’t going well and someone asks why it’s so. On the other hand, when things are going fine and well, Latinos don’t invoke God all that much..

Today’s first “boots on the ground” story

#4-Latino Millennials and their views on socialism:
