August 26, 2021 Ep. 2 - The brilliant Jo Brand
Michail Antonio’s goal celebration this week inspired Nick Hancock and Chris England to look at famous goal celebrations of the past, and
the very mad Socios football tokens story also caught their eye in quite a contemptuous way.

More importantly, Jo Brand joined Nick and Chris in the studio to discuss Crystal Palace and her extensive footballing family.

August 20, 2021 Ep. 1 - Tim Lovejoy's lament
Nick Hancock and Chris England try to work out if anything can be done to reverse the creeping crappification of the once-beautiful game. For a start, you can stop calling it the beautiful game – it’s lazy, glib, second-hand and fundamentally inaccurate.

This week Nick and Chris get to grips with the Euros aftermath, horse-punching and Jack Grealish and his tiny shin pads.

The guest this week is Tim Lovejoy. Nick, Chris and Tim discuss Soccer AM, football fans and Jack Grealish and his tiny shin pads

It would be great if you subscribed and rated the podcast with five stars, because frankly that's what it deserves.

About The Famous Sloping Pitch (or Is Football F**ked?)

From the publisher's feed

Nick Hancock and Chris England are old friends who have both been struck by the same soul-shattering thought: "how is it that everything that has changed about football since I started watching it has made it a little bit more s**t?".
