Good Morning!
No time like the present to honour and show love, admiration, and respect to the beautiful mothers out there that have tirelessly worked, sweat, cried, and loved their children respectively. After spending the weekend with family, friends, and in the presence of a newborn and his well-spent mother, allow me to take the time to tip my hat to the many moms who have sacrificed their mental, physical, and emotional freedoms to bring life into the world.
"There's no way I can pay you back, but the plan is to show you that I understand...you are appreciated." - Tupac Shakur

The Hustler's Journal S2E17 | The Check In
Guest: Jay Jean-Paul
What a difference a year makes! So much has transpired since the world was forced to press "pause" causing people to adapt, adjust, and achieve in uncomfortable yet promising conditions. One person that has spent their time doing just that is trainer/coach Jay Jean-Paul, co-owner of Bully By Nature Fitness Facility in both Lachine and the West Island of Montreal, Canada
Never one to shy away from challenges, Jay has been doing just that - embracing obstacles, learning more about himself, and peeling away at the layers that makes him "Bully", all while doing his best to stay on top of his game
His motivation? While on pause, he became husband to a beautiful daughter, Summer, whom has proven to be the driving force behind his resurgence presently and coming soon
Join us as we check in with Jay as we ask the question 'How are you?', what he learned about himself in the past year, his relationships, business, self-care, and more

Good Morning!
Question of the day: how many victories have you scored so far this year?
What you may consider as being "small" or "minor" or "not really a win/victory because it's barely anything" carries more weight than you think - especially when over time, those "small" victories begin to add up, making your bag a little heavier than you expected.
Regardless of the size, a victory is a victory and should never be taken for granted, especially the biggest and most overlooked victory of them all. Listen up as we encourage you to celebrate your wins today. What may seem insignificant now will be the game changer going forward

Good Morning!
If this past year taught us anything, it’s that time is of the essence and can easily pass us by in an instant if we fail to use it wisely
Instead of waiting until the right time - the next day, the next week, or some other point in the future
Don’t put off your training until tomorrow - start now
Don’t wait until after a major event to start eating better - start now
Don’t wait to for the right time to choose better for yourself and your mental well-being - start today

Each year, the conversation surrounding the mental health of our family members, friends, colleagues, clients and ourselves has increased in the number of conversations and as a result has gotten louder within our respective communities, cities, countries, and worldwide. Millions of people struggle with or are living their reality with a mental health disorder outside of the regular stresses that life can bring upon us. Today, across Canada, that conversation is being highlighted in more ways than one with various initiatives to help us raise awareness and to give attention not only to the health of others but for ourselves.
Today’s conversation was not reserved solely to support these initiatives but one that we as professionals wanted to open up again and dig deeper into what affects individually and what steps we can take to identify, accept, manage, and seek help where needed.
In part two of our Mental Health Matters series, we check in with another Tania - Tania Vincent - personal trainer, wellness coach, and owner of the Lotus Centre in Montreal, Canada, as a follow up to our initial conversation in the spring discussing her challenges with anxiety. Join us as we answer questions from her clients, provide suggestions as to how to manage stress and anxiety, and to answer the most important question considered today - “How are you?”
A special shoutout, love, and light we are sending out to everyone who is enduring through their own personal battles at the moment. Hopefully this conversation and others that will follow will be a source of encouragement to help you along the way

What do you get when you get when you take an everyday exercise tool and you put passion, purpose, persistence, patience and PUSH behind it? You get to witness an idea literally start from the bottom and see it rise right before your eyes! You also get to learn the story of how these two ladies came together and started a brand that is taking the city by storm! If you haven’t yet heard of them, you’re about to know now - allow me to introduce you to Briana and Joyce, co-owners of @getyourz_ Resistance Bands.
With the time they committed to researching trends, utilizing social media to their advantage, and investing in quality over quantity, Get Yourz is on the come up, focusing their efforts on changing the game while inspiring others to fulfill their ideas in the process.
Join us as Coach K sits down with the team to discuss the birth of the band brand, the challenges and obstacles experienced in the process, their vision, and why TIMING IS EVERYTHING! It’s not just about bands and making sales; their commitment goes beyond that. They’re one of the many small businesses aiming to make a difference in the fitness community and contribute to the strengthening, growth, and progression of bodies (and booties) one pack at a time:-)
