Season 2 - Episode 6
Special Guest: Your Mind
Greetings Listeners!
This quarantine season definitely has had its "downs", but shifting our perspectives and energies to a positive perspective has definitely proven beneficial for everyone in some way shape or form. Not only has it allowed us to engage in conversations with a view towards the future, but the opportunity to reflect on where we were before and where we are at now!
Despite the obstacles, there have been plenty of opportunities to live, laugh, build, grow, and understand more than before - all because we didn't have the time to do it. The "pause" effect has given light to unaddressed issues in addition to awakening creativity among many. That space that we once thought wasn't big enough to do "X" has proven to accommodate the entire alphabet! That project we've been putting off for weeks or months now can be factored into our schedule. That friend or family member that you've been meaning to call, text, email, or DM but weren't able to because you were busy can now be given attention. Uncertainty does carry its fears and concerns, but can also carry positive change and freedom.
Think outside the box, adjust your perspective, and be prepared to work with a "new normal" for a longer period of time. Listen in as Coach K gives his short-yet-empowering take. THIS IS A NO-NEGATIVE-ENERGY ZONE

Season 2 - Episode 5
Special Guest: Krys Marie, Personal Trainer/Owner of Signature Shape
Location: Brampton, Ontario
The ability to adapt, adjust, and accommodate changes to one's operation are key qualities of a solid team leader, especially when such changes are abrupt and unexpected. A person must learn to absorb the fall, learn from their cuts and bruises, shake the dust off, and continue to move forward, even if the direction in which they were going has to be totally re-routed.
Krys Marie is an example of such a person. Through highs and lows, gains and losses, she willed her way to betting herself mentally and physically - adapting, adjusting, adapting, and adjusting some more - and used her experiences as fuel for her training business.
Her idea that went from "I can't do this" to "I have to and I will do this" has motivated, inspired, and empowered the many clients that have come though the doors of Signature Shape, developing relationships, changing minds and bodies, and establishing a presence in the fitness community in Brampton, Ontario.
Join us as we sit down in our virtual with Krys Marie as she gives us the scoop.

Season 2 - Episode 4
Special Guest: Tania Vincent, Personal Trainer, Montreal, QC
Happy Monday everyone! Hope you are all staying safe and secure as we continue through this challenging time! Hug your loved ones, check in on your friends, and make the best attempt to stay active mentally and physically!
Anxiety, among other mental health disorders, cannot be identified just by looking at someone. The phrase "you can't judge a book by its cover" is very applicable when it comes to this topic because, surprisingly enough, a large population of the people around us and closest to us may be suffering from anxiety and still carry a smile on their faces.
This episode's guest, Tania Vincent, a local trainer and mental health advocate in Montreal, sits down with us and shares her experience with the disorder, her daily struggles and challenges to remain balanced, and how she is taking action to help others.
If this topic resonates with you, give it a listen! You never know how one person's experience could propel you or someone you know to open up and start a conversation that could be GAME CHANGING!

Good Morning Hustler's!
It's a given: the COVID-19 Coronavirus has us all in a funk! Collectively, we have had to hit the [PAUSE] button on our regular routines and commit to a quarantine period in our home in order to slow the pace of this illness down.
Everyone is affected - directly and indirectly - and no doubt, it has resulted in stress, anxiety, fear, and strong concern for many. But, it has also resulted in positive changes (or at least a start in that direction) for some. Communities have come together through technology to keep things moving; families are drawing closer; creativity is increasing; and rolling with the "normal everyday grind" has now shifted into hopefully a more balanced direction.
The key: learning how to manage stress. Just how much does stress affect our minds and bodies? How can we combat stress? How can being productive help the battle against stress? Just a couple of points that will be covered in this episode.
There are many opportunities amidst the obstacles right now - even if they may be challenging to see them at the moment! Rest assured, we can and will survive the struggle together.
Tune in and let me know your thoughts. Feedback is always welcome:-)

Greetings fellow Hustlers and Happy International Women's Day!
It's a known fact that the world is filled with hard-working-hustler moms that put on their respective "capes" and go above and beyond on a daily basis to manage multiple responsibilities within their homes all while performing at the highest level in a competitive working world.
Some mothers have a spouse to share the load while others are running the show solo; regardless of their status, they are committed to putting in work to make sure that all is well for their kids to the best of their ability.
Often what happens is that our "supermoms" don't take time to care for themselves in the process, resulting in heightened stress, anxiety, depression, and lack of activity in their lives. Is it possible to manage it all and hold it down and still make sure that you're taken care of as well?
Join me as I sit down for a very real, open, and energetic conversation with a supermom in her own right, part-time Beachbody Coach and honorary FITTFamily member Karen Barbosa as she gives the low-down on motherhood, her newly refined at-home fitness lifestyle, and how she stays balanced working full-time and taking care of her son. She even educates me on the stigma behind postpartum depression. A real conversation filled with positive vibes and solid energy from top to bottom:-)

What’s the biggest change you have made in your life that has impacted your overall being forever? What was that game changer moment for you? How have you benefitted from that change? What effect has it had on others around you?
The desire to change is deep within all of us (individually and collectively) especially when it comes to our goals, but very few of us actually go through the process. Why? Because change comes with discomforts, challenges, obstacles, fears, and commitments - elements that some may not be ready for.
Questions are to be considered, feelings and emotions are to be put in check, and sacrifices have to be made in order to facilitate change - but are you ready for that? Are you prepared for what you may have to endure? Are you equipped for potential “push back” and discouragement that can take a toll on you? Are you willing to go at these changes alone?
This and more will be considered in the season finale of The Hustler’s Journal Episode XX. Listen up and enjoy.

What does a person with mental illness look like?
Where can a person get help if they need to speak to someone?
How can we contribute to the conversation about mental health awareness?
These questions and others are covered in this special edition episode of The Hustler’s Journal!
Fresh off the amazing energy that was the first annual BOOTCAMP FOR CHANGE event hosted by yours truly, we took that energy and brought to the table for an open conversation regarding mental illness and its effects on millions of people worldwide.
Seven lovely ladies joined the discussion and opened up about their own challenges, struggles, trials, and victories and offer solid advice on where to find help and how we can help others. The topic of Mental Health is never a comfortable one to cover but on this day, the vibe was so positive that those initial feelings quickly dissipated.
If you have time, take a listen. It just might make you feel comfortable enough to open up about your struggles.
