Super pumped to chat with Darren Glover, the Division Lead for VaynerGaming (a new branch off of the VaynerSports tree) which is a Minneapolis based marketing agency focused on the world of professional gaming. Yes, that is a thing! Gaming is the REAL deal! We got to learn a whole lot more about it in our discussion. We also got the hear Darren's story of getting into the marketing world. It's a fun one!

As we all know, large organizations - colleges included - have a more difficult time implementing change at such a rapid pace. But when it came to COVID-19, like the rest of us, they had NO choice. So, how did that really go.... and what have they learned because of it???

It's. been. quite. the. year.

We're all more than ready for move on from this COVID chapter of our lives and we have some high hopes for 2021. Not saying a new year will solve all of the things, BUT it's gotta be better - right?!

Amidst the global pandemic, there were still A LOT of good times had and lessons learned in TFG world. In this episode, we took a look back at the 2020 episode archive and discussed some of our favorite moments or realizations. Just in doing so, it made us more grateful for the incredible conversations that DID happen (that weren't cancelled). Luckily, a podcast can really survive and thrive over Zoom ;-)

I have to be honest. This is a very special episode of The Forever Game. The subject matter is by far the heaviest kind of stuff we’ve talked about on the podcast thus far. Tyler and I were joined by Scott Abrams, a local doctor that you may very well know - but you may not know his full story. Or, the fact that he just recently published his own book on drug addiction called Freedom in the Fight.

 I found this book on the shelves of a local bookstore, read a few pages and thought - DAMN, I want to interview this guy.


So, in our chat with Scott we talk about what in the world it’s like to be battling a drug addition for 15 years, how he turned his life around and how he approaches his recovery journey every single day. There are a ton of parallels to be found in Scott’s addition story that very well might hit home for you on some scale. It’s not opioid addiction for all of us, but we all have struggles we’re working to overcome.

I think you’ll appreciate this very open and vulnerable conversation.
