Question: What are you waiting for when it comes to developing yourself, your business or even your leadership skills?
And: What if, whatever it is never arrives?
At this point in time, I think we can all agree; the world seems to have gone a little nuts.
The banks that took us into a massive recession are making record profits. Meanwhile the number of homeless is growing every day. We are pouring billions of dollars into the Military Industrial Complex… to be involved in wars that rather than creating peace, generate hate against countries like the US and her allies.
So many of us are so busy pointing the finger at the problems with the other political party, that other religion, (Muslim’s or some other kind of Christian’s, the Jews…anyone will do).
And then of course there is the Millennial generation who so often want to blame both the Baby Boomers and the Gen-X’er for the mess they are inheriting, (which is true). Meanwhile, the Boomers and Gen-X’ers are blaming the Millennial’s for their crappy entitlement attitude…(which the boomer and X’ers gave them).
Like I said we are so busy looking out there… we forget to look inward both as a nation and as individuals. It seems to me that we need to stop waiting for someone to “fix it”
Therefore, to me it seems as personal, business, and community leaders we are missing the point!
On this episode of Dõv Baron’s Full Monty leadership Show we’ll look at why we need to, and how we can come back to the basics. Basics that will ground us in moving forward with certainty, grace, respect and honour.
My guest on this episode: Jim Bouchard… And he’s all about bringing us back to the basics… He is a speaker and the author of the Amazon bestseller ”Think Like a Black Belt.” And as Jim says: It’s time to STOP WAITING!
According to Jim, to get to where you want to go we will have to come back to the basics… and for Jim Bouchard those basics are: Discipline, Respect and Personal Responsibility!
Jim’s resume is a colorful one. As a former television writer and producer, Jim has done everything from fitting pipes on submarines, mopping floors, pumping gas and selling hot dogs, to producing television commercials, fighting fires, boxing, playing drums in major concerts, hosting radio shows, and kicking for semi-pro football teams.
In this show we will examine what the Black Belt Mindset is and why we need it more than ever right now!
We will look at how kids in Martial Arts training can define leadership better than almost any corporate leader.
Why so much of the personal and professional development out there just sucks!
What Martial Arts teaches us about leadership.
And we’ll discuss The Power of Vulnerable Leadership and how it is indeed a clear path to becoming a master of Leadership.
I promise you this is a going to be a fascinating very down to the nuts and bolts show, and of course this is just a small sampling of where this great interview goes.
Make sure you share this with your friends and tune in on Thursday August 1st, 2013 @10:AM (Pac) 1:PM (EST)
Why? Because you are a leader!
