Monroe and Brandon are joined by Coach Bailey to discuss CrossFit Kids and CrossFit Teens at Verity! There are a lot of common misconceptions about kids and CrossFit training in general. Many people think that it is bad for kids to lift weights and that it will stunt their growth...this is simply not true.
A really scary statistic is that in America 1 in 5 kids are obese. This is a problem that stems from the way our culture has developed over the last 20-30 years. There is more access to screens and entertainment than ever before, and with the internet, kids are now going outside less and less.
At Verity Speed & Strength Bailey has been coaching teens for the past year and their physical, as well as social development, has skyrocketed. That being said, we are excited to expand the youth program and launch our CrossFit for Kids ages 3-5 and ages 6-12!
