  • The Gestalt Gardener | Mississippi Snow
When Mississippi gets snow it is viewed as a treat. But often, only a quick one. Schools and offices are closed for the day. Scenic snowy snapshots are everywhere you turn. Yet and still the snow is gone by the next day or the next full sun. This year Felder was able to get a few snapshots of his snow garden and starts this garden party reminiscing about our short-lived winter wonderland. He also brings some more good vibes to the new year with two cheesy tunes. All while answering another round of southern gardening questions. Let's get dirty!

  • The Gestalt Gardener | Really 2021?
We are eight days into the new year and there is already plenty to discuss. Yet in true Felder fashion, today's garden party discusses the positive side of life, even if worms are in your fruit and voles are wrecking your garden. This edition of the Gestalt Gardener is the first one after the holiday break and the call volume reflected this fact. Even in January, we can still do what we do best: Get Dirty!

  • The Gestalt Gardener | Bye Bye 2020
Felder is saying goodbye to 2020 and welcoming the new year with a type of optimism that is truly is own. With everything considering it has been a great year for Felder and his flowers. As always during today's show, he answers your southern gardening questions but also pays tribute to a true Mississippi icon.

  • The Gestalt Gardener | Decorating with Rick Griffin
Last week Felder brought in his handpainted okra pod Santa Christmas tree ornament. Today he brings in an entire box filled with handmade ornaments. The trinidad scorpion pepper is one of the hottest peppers in the world. Only the carolina reaper measures higher on the Scoville scale, and Felder just happens to bring one to the studio for today's show. • The Gestalt Gardener | Snapdragons
Snapdragons are seen this time of year just like all the colors that make fall a rainbow of reds, oranges, and brown. Felder reminds us that these beautiful colors are always there but the spring and summer chlorophyll dominates most of the year. With another round of southern gardening questions that criss cross the state, Felder talks about his weekly haul, and provides a cheery cheesy tune to keep things in perspective. Let's get dirty!

  • The Gestalt Gardener | Ugly Tomatoes
Ugly tomates! No problem! Felder knows everything you plant will not come out picture perfect. So when some of his tomotes have more "character" then others he knows not to throw them out with the trash. Like always on this edition of the Gestalt Gardener Felder shares his brand of gardening advice and brings a cheesy tune perfect for post election feelings. Let's get dirty!

  • The Gestalt Gardener | In Due Time
Felder will be the first to tell you he is just an okay gardener, but that is what makes him a great person to dish out garden advice. He will not make something up just to appease a caller. If he does not know the answer he will say so. Just take a listen to this shows last caller! And with days before the election Felder champions the potential state flag on the ballot. Let's get dirty!

  • The Gestalt Gardener | Hospitable Blossoms
Felder really is a "live and let live" type of guy. So much so, his garden is a certified wildlife habitat. Felder knows the important roles that the crawly, slimly, and sometime stingy bugs play in our everyday life. And why should he get in the way of them doing their job? Today he talks about some of these bugs around his home, a plant know as "campers friend", and answers a variety of southern gardening questions. Let's get dirty!
