And a Marvel comedy came out on Hulu. MODOK is not based in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but will it use that freedom to bring new creativity and humor to the giant floating head?

Last week Tawny Kitaen passed away. To anyone growing up in the 80's you knew her as THE fantasy video vixen. While reading about her life, I found out that she had been in a movie called Gwendoline (or The Perils of Gwendoline In the Land of the Yik Yak) and decided that we would watch that for episode 185. 

I chose it with no other information. No trailer. No description. Just a desire to know what a Yik Yak was. 

As it turns out it is a exploitative adventure film about a butterfly, some diamond mines and characters that manage to get captured at least 10 times in an hour and a half.

Don't watch this. But definitely enjoy our pain as we did watch it.

A little bit of a lull in releases allowed us to catch up on some movies and books that we had missed. Greg finished up a 600 page biography on Bruce Lee and learned a bunch about 60's and 70's Hollywood, including some Bruce Lee ties to the Manson Murders, as well as how he helped change Hollywood. 

Rob saw a movie poster featuring Danny Trejo on a buffalo and was excited to see Dead Again in Tombstone, until he actually saw, Dead Again in Tombstone.

And Love Death and Robots is back with season 2, with 8 new animated shorts for us to salivate over.

It is VERY rare that a big budget time travel dinosaur movie slips by us unnoticed. A Sound Of Thunder not only did that, but it was as recent as 2005. It starred Ed Burns and Ben Kingsley and we still didn't know it existed. Most likely because there were budget issues, lawsuits, and script issues with this movie based on a Ray Bradbury short story. If you haven't seen it, definitely check out this episode. (you will most likely remember it from a Simpson's Treehouse of Horror Episode)
