Today’s guest is a former US Marine captain with over ten years of active service, as both an enlisted and commissioned officer.  In August 2005, as part of a four-man team from the United States Marine Corps' 1st Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company he found himself smack in the middle of the deadliest city on earth, Ramadi, Iraq. For the next seven months, his team fought street by street against an insurgency that only grew more deadly. Today’s guest is a former Army Bomb Tech who spent 22 years in the military, but found his true calling when he started learning about the science of alcohol. A pressure cooker IED and a little root beer cemented his obsession with moonshine and the rest is history. With his wife by his side he continues to give back to the veteran community through suicide awareness and support; it is my pleasure to welcome Mike Girard, from 300 Days Distillery, to the show.
