As we seek to make our calling and election sure, we must first enter into covenants with God by proper priesthood authority. Next we must continue proving faithful at all costs, obeying every word that proceeds from the mouth of God, and then we will hear those supernal words of exaltation through the more sure word of prophecy. The Holy Spirit of Promise, another name title of the Holy Ghost, has power given to ratify and justify all contracts, vows and obligations that we enter into.  We with our ancestors are given the opportunity for this ratifying seal to be placed upon us, thus sealing us up unto eternal life.
