In today's Better Wealth Episode, I had the pleasure of interviewing Criag author of “House Hacking” as he shares his incredible story and journey from San Francisco to getting a job in Denver with Bigger Pockets and then discovering his passion in House Hacking. Listen to his journey of developing a system for House Hacking through his first experience with setting up a curtain, no money, multiple mistakes, to creating an incredible business and becoming a testimony of financial freedom. Craig talked about his Fire Movement and financial independence.  Craig Curelop is the co-founder of The FI Team, a real estate agent and investor in Denver, CO. Moving to Denver in April 2017 and closing on his first property in June 2017, a duplex that he house hacked for one year. Getting a little bit creative and rented out the top unit, while creating a quasi-bedroom in the living room by putting up a curtain and a cardboard wall divider so he could AirBnb his bedroom. Needless to say, it cash flowed :). Since then he has purchased three more house hacks, six investment properties, written a book called The House Hacking Strategy, and is officially financially independent. Financial independence has given him the comfort to quit my own job, start The FI Team, and help others achieve their financial independence goals.Outside of real estate and personal finance, some may call him a health nut. His primary goal is to live to be 200. His goal is to be able to perform at the highest possible level for the most amount of time. Exercising and eating healthy are the best ways to do that. For fun, he loves to exercise, hike, travel, read, write, snowboard, golf, and play/watch sports. Go Pats!
