Looking back on a successful hunt on the beautiful island of Kodiak, Alaska. The story couldn’t have played out more dramatically if I had scripted it out myself. God is good, this was an excellent hunt and it will turn out to be an exciting film!

There are so many takeaways and so much great content I gathered on this trip, it’s hard to know where to begin sharing this experience with you and I can’t wait to edit together the over 300 GB of footage I shot.

But in the meantime, I figure the best place to start would be a podcast that Ned and I did live from Kodiak in the legendary Shelikof lodge right after the hunt.

Please excuse the crunchy audio, it was about 11 pm, we were still beat from 6 hard days in the bush and I didn’t remember to turn down the audio gain on my wireless mics!

Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy the recap of this hunt. We will do another episode in the near future about logistics and possibly even what I learned from filming the whole thing, if folks are interested in that. If so, let me know!

Can’t wait to share the film, but as I have another trip to New Mexico with @elkshape lined up in 10 days and an antelope hunt in October, it might be a while. Scott Luber is quite possibly the greatest hunter you have never heard of. He is a humble guy and doesn't promote himself much yet he has achieved one of the greatest feats in North American hunting, maybe the world: a 100% walk-in Alaskan Ram Slam. meaning he has taken a legal Dall Sheep Ram on every mountain range in Alaska without the use of any vehicles. Stability can mean a lot of things. Just as stability is critical when making a long range rifle shot, you need to be a stable person to achieve success in life and business.
