This week I released my first elk hunt film on YouTube and I am very proud of it. I am using every available channel to get the word out so this week is just about that. This week I had a chance to speak with one of my heroes, the legendary Jim Shockey. Jim is the real deal, he is a hunter, but he is so much more than that; a naturalist, conservationist, explorer, collector, author, and father, to name a few. Jim has lived life well, to the fullest, with something he teaches me called, Joie de Vie or "The Joy of Life," not wasting a day in pursuit of your passions and dreams. I hope to one day look back at my life and have it bear resemblance to the one that Jim has lived. He reminds us of what we can be at our best, not the evil backwoods rednecks we are often portrayed as in the mainstream media. I hope you enjoy this conversation!

I had a chance to investigate the research of Dr. Hugh Ross and interview him years ago as a young producer at the Christian Broadcasting Network. That interview, unfortunately, never saw the light of day, but I was blessed to be able to talk with Dr. Ross again and it was a fascinating conversation. We talk about an alternative creation view that helped me tremendously in my faith journey as well as the fact that science and God are NOT at odds but that in fact, science proves the existence of God.

I am super stoked tp be headed to Spain in June to hunt Chamois and Roebuck with Pedro Ampuero. Several months ago Pedro invited me and when you get an opportunity like that, you say yes! I am looking forward to hunting both of these iconic European species, but until now I knew almost nothing about them. In this episode Pedro and I go over some of the basics of hunting these species, their habitats and characteristics. Towards the end of the episode we talk a little about logistics and pre-production. I hope you find this episode interesting.
