The Ian Furness Show

Former Gonzaga star, now with Westwood One and CBS Sports, Dan Dickau talks about Gonzaga, and how their region sets up for them in the tournament. The Huskies face off against the Utah State Aggies on Friday. Scott Garrard, voice of Utah State, with everything you need to know about the team. Kevin finds out he's working for The Godfather. Texts react to Felix, and mispronouncing schools. Softy is hyped for Washington's first appearance in the tournament in eight years.

Some people love to get upset, in this case specifically, some people like to get upset about Pete Carroll and John Schneider's decisions. The Seahawks staff keep winning. They keep coming through. You should enjoy the ride, and be thankful we aren't a team like the Cardinals. KJ Wright is staying with the Hawks. He spoke at length with Cliff and Puck earlier today. We've got a couple of choice cuts from that interview. One week from now, the Mariners will have played their first two regular season games. Ian predicts they'll be 2-0. On today's Something Good, turning something bad into something good.

Washington State finally made the move Ian's been hoping for, cutting Ernie Kent loose. He's done nothing for Cougar basketball, ranking eighth place or lower every single season in the Pac-12. In fact, that eighth place finish was his first year. He's going to walk away with a decent chunk of change, and that's criminal, but at least the program can move on. The Cardinals are looking at Kyler Murray, but would they really draft a quarterback so quickly after drafting a highly-touted quarterback? We discuss this with NFLDraftScout's Rob Rang, plus his thoughts on the future of Miami quarterbacks, where Justin Herbert would have landed in this draft, and more. Texts with tons of opinions on Ernie Kent. Ian says it's time to try something new and innovative and bring in a female head coach. Softy liked Ernie Kent at Washington State for obvious reason. He talks about the coaching move and tonight's Husky game as he sets up for the afternoon show.

Chambers Bay Distillery sponsors Ian's visit with Rob Rang of NFLDraftScout.com on Fridays at 220pm. CBD is a small local distillery founded by two local guys, Alan and Jeff where their mission is simple, "To Create Uniquely Extraordinary Spirits"... Featuring Ghost Dog Whiskey, Raan (rhymes with Pawn) Vodka and their CBD Bourbon which is aged in a boathouse above the waters of Puget Sound

Some Seahawks fans have been vocal in the last few days about their hopes that the team would be making more moves in the beginning of free agency. At this point fans should know to have faith in the front office. The team got deals done, keeping key players like KJ, and grabbed a couple of free agents. These guys have been doing this a long time. They have a plan. The News Tribune's Gregg Bell is the one who broke the news about the KJ deal. Ian chats with him about Wright's re-signing, the Fluker deal, the pick-up of Mike Iupati, and more. Today on Something Good, a man cleans up a huge pile of trash, and photographs the before and after, calling it the Trash Tag Challenge.

Major League Baseball has proposed a number of rule changes; some of which make sense and some that don't. Requiring a pitcher to face three batters for example fundamentally changes the strategy of the game. Eliminating the end of August waiver trade deadline stops trades too early. Mike Iupati has spent his career in the NFC West with both the 49ers and the Cardinals, and now he's a Seahawk. Jody Oehler of Fox Sports 910 in Phoenix tells us what we need to know about him. Texts at 49451 react to the recent Seahawks signings, the Dawgs winning, and the baseball rule changes. Softy discusses the recent Seahawks deals.
