  • Furness H1 - Have faith in the front office / Gregg Bell on Wright, Fluker, and Iupati / Something Good: Trash tag challenge
Some Seahawks fans have been vocal in the last few days about their hopes that the team would be making more moves in the beginning of free agency. At this point fans should know to have faith in the front office. The team got deals done, keeping key players like KJ, and grabbed a couple of free agents. These guys have been doing this a long time. They have a plan. The News Tribune's Gregg Bell is the one who broke the news about the KJ deal. Ian chats with him about Wright's re-signing, the Fluker deal, the pick-up of Mike Iupati, and more. Today on Something Good, a man cleans up a huge pile of trash, and photographs the before and after, calling it the Trash Tag Challenge.

  • Furness H2 - MLB rule changes / Jody Oehler on Mike Iupati / Texts / Softy
Major League Baseball has proposed a number of rule changes; some of which make sense and some that don't. Requiring a pitcher to face three batters for example fundamentally changes the strategy of the game. Eliminating the end of August waiver trade deadline stops trades too early. Mike Iupati has spent his career in the NFC West with both the 49ers and the Cardinals, and now he's a Seahawk. Jody Oehler of Fox Sports 910 in Phoenix tells us what we need to know about him. Texts at 49451 react to the recent Seahawks signings, the Dawgs winning, and the baseball rule changes. Softy discusses the recent Seahawks deals.

  • Furness H1 - Happy New League Year! - NFL free agency coverage with Michael Bumpus and Curtis Crabtree
As of the beginning of the show, the NFL league year has officially begun. Ian is joined by our own Seahawks reporter Curtis Crabtree, and former Coug, former Hawk, Michael Bumpus. The biggest news right off the top, Earl Thomas will be joining the Ravens. We knew his days in Seattle were probably over, but now there's no question. So far the Hawks haven't grabbed anyone other than kicker Jason Myers. Don't expect to hear much from them in terms of snagging free agents early on. This is what they do. They aren't fans of spending big money on free agents, especially with a group of core guys who still need to get paid. So who is going to replace Earl? Well, he only played 24 percent of snaps last year anyway. Tedric Thompson did okay last season, and we'll probably see more of him this year. On Something Good, a thief in China robs a woman at a bank before seeing her bank balance, realizing she was broke, and returning the cash, plus a man giving $1,000 to a Girl Scout troop, and unlike the last time we tried a story like this on Something Good, this time the guy wasn't wanted for selling drugs.

  • Furness H2 - Our coverage of the official beginning of free agency continues with news and analysis from Michael Bumpus and Curtis Crabtree
The new league year is officially an hour old, and news and updates keep rolling in. The one big signing the Hawks have made so far today is kicker Jason Myers. After recent struggles at that position, is this the answer we've been looking for there? One somewhat shocking departure from the Hawks this week is J. R. Sweezy, who most people expected would re-sign here. How will the offensive line adapt. What are our options for receiver next year? Some fans were excited by the idea of Tyrell Williams, but he's reportedly signing with Oakland. Mychal Kendricks had signed with the Seahawks. We'll see whether or not he'll actually be able to play this season. Texts at 49451 with what they'd like to see the Hawks do in free agency. Softy continues the conversation as he sets up his show with Dick Fain.

  • Furness H1 - Earl's not coming back / Entitlements / Gary Parrish on conference tournaments / Something Good: Fairytale Closet, Matt Boyd
Rumors continue to swirl in the NFL as free agency gets going, and maybe somewhat surprisingly, we haven't heard where Earl Thomas is rumored to go. Some Hawks fans are still holding out hope that we'll see him back here next season, but with everything that went down, he's not going to be back here. Today is a day of entitlements. Everyone seems to think they can get away with something, from parents paying money under the table to get their kids into college, to a fan thinking he's entitled to say whatever he wants to an NBA player, to Larry Scott and his $7,500 a night hotel room in Vegas, but there are still consequences for your actions... hopefully. Conference tournaments are underway, and Selection Sunday is this Sunday. CBS Sports college basketball insider Gary Parrish gets us up to date on everything we need to know about what's happening in college hoops. On Something Good, Dallas Public Library is giving out dresses to high school students in hopes that saving them hundreds of dollars will allow them to put the money toward college. Other colleges have done this, and some have even raised money to pay for college textbooks. Local guy, pitcher Matt Boyd is putting money toward stopping human trafficking, rescuing 36 girls in Uganda with plans to expand the program.

  • Furness H2 - Ceremonial first pitches in Japan / Curtis Crabtree on the Seahawks and free agency / Texts / Softy
Ceremonial first pitches have been announced, and it isn't just the pitcher, but also the batter and catcher getting in on the first pitch. On Day 1, Kazuhiro Sasaki is pitching to Kenji Johjima with Ricky Henderson at the plate. On Day 2, Ken Griffey Jr. will stand at the plate. With free agency getting underway, our own Seahawks reporter Curtis Crabtree updates us on what the Hawks have done so far. Right now, not much, but there's lots to keep an eye on in the coming days. JR Sweezy has reportedly agreed to a deal with the Cardinals. Texts weigh in on Earl Thomas. He's not coming back. Softy continues the free agency conversation.
