The Ian Furness Show

Nigel joins Ian every Tuesday at 2pm talking all things PAC-12 Football courtesy of Georgetown Brewing. Georgetown is Seattle's largest independent brewery making great beer and supporting the community. Makers of Manny's Pale Ale, Lucille, and Bohdizafa IPA's. Georgetown brewing, where good beer equals happiness!

Ian is at the NHL Board of Governors meeting in Georgia, so Mike Gastineau is filling in today. Speaking of said meeting, tomorrow is the big day that, barring something going wrong, Seattle will officially be awarded an NHL expansion team. The Huskies are going back to the Rose Bowl for the first time in 18 years. The Cougs got robbed of a New Year's Six bowl. The Mariners just traded practically the entire team. The biggest news of all right now though is that the Seattle Seahawks are 7-5 and are well on their way to the playoffs. Hugh Millen survives a car wash accident to talk about the Hawks' win and the Dawgs' Rose Bowl trip.

Ian calls into his own show, from the NHL Board of Governors meeting and the likely announcement tomorrow of a new NHL franchise in Seattle. While he's down there, he catches up to Tod Leiweke to discuss the likely big news. During the show, the Mariners have announced the news we've been expecting for a long time; Jean Segura is a part of a package of players going to Philadelphia for J.P. Crawford and Carlos Santana. It's just the latest in a series of trades, including one made official earlier today sending Robinson Cano and Edwin Diaz to the Mets. Softy is upset today despite all the great Husky and Seahawks news. Why? Because his "no Jean, no money" clip is no longer relevant.

Ian has a short show in order to make room for the Husky Honks but there is so much to cover in his single hour. Furness is frustrated by Richard Sherman's comments yesterday and has something to say about it! We check in with Greg Cosell courtesy of Farrelli's to find out what chance the 49ers actually have to beat the Seahawks this week. Lastly, Ian Rapoport is on the show to talk about the story from Kansas City where a video of RB Kareem Hunt has been released by TMZ featuring disturbing images of him assaulting a woman.

Greg Cosell is one of the brightest minds in football and his genius can be seen every week on NFL Matchup. If you want to hear what he thinks about the Seahawks game, check him out with Ian every Friday at 1:20pm breaking down their upcoming game. He is on thanks to Farrelli's Pizza - Artisan Pizza Cooked on Stone in Front of an Open Flame. They're the best pizza in Western WA, best sports bar in Western WA, and they have all the beer you could want!

The hits keep coming for the Pac-12 as we've now seen a video of Larry Scott congratulating himself on a new extension; a video the conference has had removed. You look so much more guilty when you try to cover things up. Don't make it worse.
Richard Sherman is back in town, but he's a bit player in this game. For the Hawks, it's about the five guys up front. Yes, the Cougars lost the Apple Cup, but this season has exceeded expectations by all measures. Jim Walden talks about the season following an off-season of tragedy and turmoil, and whether Mike Leach is going to take off. Richard Sherman spoke to the media today, but man is he bitter.

It's crunch time in the fantasy football regular season. The Athletic's fantasy expert Brandon Funston gives advice to ensure you make the playoffs. It's also Fact or Fiction crunch time, and Ian's taking the Hawks. Softy joins Ian from The Central, looking ahead to this weekend's Hawks game.

Tune in every Thursday at 1:20 for Coug talk with the coach, Jim Walden. He appears courtesy of his great sponsors: Glass by Lund, NW Propane, Farmhouse Restaurant, Valley RVSupercenter, and Cougfan.com.
