That said, most of us do indeed need to leverage this skill

Whether in the workplace, for a business, or podcast, or social channels, etc.

Why is self-promotion important in our careers? AKA benefits to doing it

  1. Promotion opportunities
  2. Credibility
  3. Personal branding
  4. Builds confidence
  5. Professional (and probably personal) growth
  6. Gives you a leg up AKA a competitive edge
  7. Career or job satisfaction
  8. Build/rebuild your reputation
  9. Increase visibility
  10. Networking
  11. Career development
  12. Recognition
  13. Develop leadership skills
  14. Help overcome gender and/or diversity biases
  15. Increased motivation
  16. Puts your achievements center stage
  17. Proves your value
  18. Sets you up to be seen as a SME
