  • Freedom of Speech & The Minimum Wage
So, what happens when you send a group of female UN inspectors to Alabama to assess gender equality? You guessed it! They were "appalled" at what they found.Among other things, the women were heckled while walking into an Alabama abortion clinic. One of the women said it was a form of "terrorism" which brought back up the issue of free speech.Where, exactly, is the line on free speech? Who has the right to tell you what you can and can't say and where do they have the right to do that? A lot of you, liberty lovers, will react instantly by saying "NOWHERE!! No one has the right to tell me what I can and can't say." Fortunately, (that is not a misprint) that is not true. There are many places where your speech can be curtailed.Today on the show I'll talk about what "Freedom of Speech" really means in case there's some confusion. Then it's on to the minimum wage. Now I know we've talked about this a lot but I had another question about it in the private FB group and I thought I try to explain it from the perspective of the business owner, showing you all the different actions he/she could take when faced with rising prices. It's a great episode today. Give it a listen.JasonSupport the show.

  • Debate Highlights: The Night the Republican Party Died
If I took one thing away from the debate last night it's this; The days of the Republican party being the party of limited, constitutional government are over. It probably died long ago, if it ever existed. But last night it became clear that the Republican party cares no more for liberty and the rule of law than do the Democrats.Darren summed up the debate with one word, "terrifying". I would have to agree. It would seem that any one of these men (save one) would commit us to a course that most certainly would end in a third world war.I'm not going t write much today. I think the show speaks for itself. But I want you to know there is a ray of hope. Liberty is making advances all around the world and today I'm going to highlight one small victory. I hope it helps to fuel your fire. It certainly did mine.JasonSupport the show.

  • The Middle East Just Got a Lot Hotter
One of the things I've been harping on for the last year is the notion that if ISIS is as big a threat as the government makes them out to be Middle Eastern countries would be mounting a campaign to defeat them. They are most certainly the ones with the most to lose if ISIS becomes a major power player in the region.Well, Saudi Arabia just announced a coalition of more than 30 Arab nations that are now working together to defeat ISIS. But don't get to excited. If you think it's going to be any easier to distinguish the good guys from the bad guys, you've got another thing coming.Among the list of coalition members are Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Yemen, Somalia, Egypt and Pakistan. These are not exactly strongholds for freedom and security. It reinforces in my mind that America needs to leave the Middle East. Let the blood fall on someone else's hands. Don't give ISIS and other radical Muslim groups any ammunition to use against the U.S. in the propaganda war.Which brings me to another point; Did you know that the U.S. government knows precisely where ISIS is creating and distributing is propaganda? It begs the question, Why not destroy them? I mean, if Obama doesn't want to listen to me and pull out and is committed to armed conflict to defeat ISIS don't you think destroying their propaganda arm would be a good start? Especially when there has been so much talk about restricting liberty here at home to try and combat the threat.Well, it turns out the Obama administration doesn't want to bomb the propaganda factories because they might kill innocent civilians. In reality, Obama doesn't want to do what's necessary to win a war. He wants to talk about doing "Whatever it takes" to defeat ISIS without actually doing it.Finally, on the show today, I'll showcase two incidents where our government admitted it broke the law yet no one is being charged with a crime. It's an abuse of power that should anger every Amercian regardless of your political leanings. All that and more on the show today. Don't miss it.Support the show.

  • Jason Breaks Down the Paris Climate Deal
Over the weekend, the media announced what it described as a "historic" climate deal. President Obama and John Kerry sprang to the microphones to pat themselves on the backs for all the hard work. Kerry called it a testament to Obama's leadership and assured the nation that it would be a net jobs creator. But what did they agree to? Funny, but that little nugget of information was oddly absent from the story.Initially, that got me nervous. Anytime you hear about a historic deal that nobody's talking specifics on, it's typically a bad thing. (Think Trans-Pacific Partnership.) So I went digging. On today's show, I outline my findings and discuss what it means for America and your energy prices.Next it's on to a report showing oil prices at an 11 year low. I think it's important we discuss how this happened and contrast the actual results of supply/demand at work with what Obama said was going to happen. I'd say it's shocking, but nothing progressives do shock me anymore. There's a lot on the show today. Lots to get through. Listen to the full episode now.Support the show.

  • GOP Plans Coup if Trump Wins Nomination
That's right folks. After twisting the arms of all candidates to sign the pledge promising to support the nominee, whoever it might be, GOP leaders are now making plans to challenge Trump should he win the nomination for the Republicans. But they need to be careful. If GOP leaders alienate Trump they risk him breaking off and running on a third party ticket. That would crush any hope of a Republican victory and assure us of a Clinton (or God forbid Sanders) victory. There's also more bad news for libertarians. It would appear Rand Paul will not make the main stage of the next CNN Republican debate. I'm not entirely sure how important this is. Other candidates like Carly have managed to make major headlines by performing well on the secondary stage, but that was early on in the debates. As Americans tire of these spectacles, it's going to get harder and harder for second-tier candidates to make the cut. What's more disconcerting to me is Rands inability to pull more than 3.5% of the vote in Iowa or New Hampshire. The Rand campaign has told us from the start not to pay attention to his low polling numbers. They assured us there was a large, successful ground game going on behind the scenes. But the recent polling numbers would say otherwise. In the back half of the show, I'll talk a little more ObamaCare. Apparently the last remaining Co-op is now millions in debt and will likely be closing up shop as well. Then it's on to gun control. President Obama is attempting to make another end run around Congress to get his gun restriction plans implemented. These are the times that try men's souls gents. Let's not lose heart. Continue to fight and spread the message of liberty.Support the show.

  • Here's Why Libertarians are Still Considered a Circus Sideshow
I'm embarrassed. Being a libertarian I know how powerful our message is when crafted and delivered well. Unfortunately, that's not even close to what's happening.I recently went to youtube to watch the first Libertarian debate hosted by the Libertarian Association of Massachusetts what I saw offended me both as a media professional and a libertarian. Here's the video for those of you who haven't seen it. I watched the entire thing, but I bet you can't stomach more than 5 minutes of it.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qcZdSpBjDtg Is it any wonder we continue to be relegated to the position of a 3rd class political party and considered basement dwelling crazies? On the show today, I put out a challenge to the libertarian party in the hopes of correcting these shameful display. Give it a listen. After that, it's onto a study recently released that purports to show the middle class is declining. Under closer inspection I found otherwise. But to me, the real story is what qualifies as middle class.Today's show is a powerful one where I tie together a lot of what we've been discussing over the past week. Don't miss it.JasonSupport the show.

  • Sanders & Climate Change: Round 2
Today I finish up our discussion from yesterday on the Sanders climate change plan.Yesterday I took some heat on social media by some folks who mistook my objection to Bernie Sanders radical plan to reorder our economy as being pro "big oil."Let me make very clear I have no interest in the oil industry at all. I own no oil stocks, and I don't have any sponsors of the show who are in the oil industry. What I find objectionable about Bernies plan is his intention to take money from the hands of hard-working Americans in the middle class (a group he claims to love and care for) by increasing the cost of fossil fuels. This will have the combined effect of increasing the cost of living for every American forcing many to adjust and reduce their lifestyle to pay for a problem that has not occurred yet and may never occur. As I outline in today's show Bernie's plan is riddled with fallacies and outright lies. He claims, for instance that you can invest a dollar in clean energy and get four dollars back. I happen to have been researching alternative energy for my home, and I would challenge anyone to show me a way that I can invest $1 today and get a 400% return on the investment. If flat out doesn't exist. But that hasn't stopped Bernie from saying it. Unfortunately, a gullible uninformed electorate has gravitated to this masterful deception, in the same way, the flocked to Obamacare and Net Neutrality. When will they learn?JasonSupport the show.

  • Bernie Sanders Climate Change Plan Debunked
We have discussed the state of our colleges several different times on the show, but I think this incident takes the cake. A husband and wife, both professors at Yale University recently resigned saying they don't fell Yale is, "not conducive to civil dialogue."The incident came after one of the professors wrote an email in response to another email written by Yale's Intercultural Relations Committee outlining what was and was not "offensive" Halloween costumes.Students at Yale surrounded the professor in the quad and began cursing and yelling at him for not providing them a "safe space" and demanding he resign. On the show today I'm going to share with you what sparked this kind of vitriolic reaction and discuss the new wussification of our youth. I fear we are raising a generation of young people who do not pose the social skill necessary to survive in the real world. From there it's on the Bernie Sanders who recently released his climate change plan. If you thought the Yale uprising was bad wait until you see what Bernie has planned for you. It's one of the scariest episodes I've ever done. Don't miss it.JasonSupport the show.

  • Threats to Liberty from the Left and Right
If you missed the president's address last night, you didn't miss much. Far from being a groundbreaking the president decided to regurgitate the same line about protecting the U.S. from terrorism and calling for stricter gun controlToday I pulled just a couple of what I think were the most stupid, most indefensible comments he made. Specifically I'll attack the idea that anyone on the no-fly list should be prevented from purchasing a gun. Then it's on to Donald Trump. For anyone who thinks my disdain for big government and heavy-handed political tactics is reserved only for the left, this episode should put your mind at ease. For the life of me I cannot understand why anyone would want a thug dictator as president but apparently Republicans are as blind as Democrats when it comes to supporting their team.I close out the show by spending a little time talking about women in combat. Recently, Defense Secretary Ashton Carter announced that all jobs, including combat jobs, would be open to women. It's crazy in my opinion, but I'll let you decide.Lots to cover in just an hour. Enjoy!JasonSupport the show.
