  • I owe my success to the deep relationships I have with people.
Building a deeper relationship with the people already in my life is much more rewarding than simply adding new people. If you compare it to dating, I would rather get to know someone on a deep emotional level instead of picking up as many phone numbers as possible. Today, I can see that the best things in my life come from the deep relationships I have with the people already in it. I hope this power thought is useful for you, and I appreciate your feedback!

  • What solutions am I working on today that are making my problems worse?
What areas of your life are you trying to solve problems, but the solution is making it worse? Before I started my business online I was a police officer, and before that you could say I was a student/hoodlum. So, I had interactions with both sides of the law. I am telling you this because the other day at my gym I saw a sign posted warning people of parking lot car break-ins. From my experience responding to these kind of crimes, car break-ins happen all over the place. So, while it is nice that the gym management posted a sign warning people to secure their valuables, the sign doesn't really accomplish anything as far as deterring crime. In fact, these signs can can reinforce crime by telling potential criminals that break-ins happen here, and people have valuables in their cars. I hope this power thought is useful for you, and I appreciate your feedback!

  • It never is anyone else, it's always my reaction.
It is never anyone else or anything else that is causing the problem in life, it's always my reaction to whatever happens. Yesterday, as I was playing a game of League of Legends, I forgot to take smite when playing jungle. This is about the worst pre-game mistake you can make, and it is easy for anyone else in the game to spot out. Like any other shame trigger, this immediately put me on the defensive when people in the game would heckle me. Unfortunately, this anger spilled over and I took it out on my friends in the call. How many times does this happen in our life where our own mistakes cause us to lash out at others? I hope this power thought is helpful for you, and I appreciate your feedback!

  • A health condition can be an opportunity for learning and growth.
A health condition can be a great opportunity for learning and growth. I'm experiencing this right now, and I am sharing because it is so much different than how I treated health conditions in the past. In the past, I would treat things like stress headaches as a burden. They were a punishment for me somehow not living right. Today, I look at health conditions as an opportunity for learning and growth. I hope this power thought is helpful for you, and i appreciate your feedback!

  • We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used to create them.
How things are today is a product of the decisions we have made in the past. Now this may seem obvious on the surface, but the only way to change the future is to make different decisions. Albert Einstein said, you can't use the same thinking to solve a problem that was created from that thinking. It gives me great peace of mind that I can look at the mistakes that others have made in their lives, and use it to avoid falling in to similar traps. I hope this power thought is helpful for you, and I appreciate your feedback!
