  • Most of the attacks I think are coming from others really come from me.
Most of the attacks I perceive to be coming from other people, are coming from within myself. I was talking to my mom on the phone the other night at the airport, and I was trying to explain to her why I couldn't come to visit her. I was at the airport on my way back from home visiting my friend, and it felt as if I was defending myself. However, this theoretical attack only proved to be my own guilty conscience. I see this again and again in other people's lives, the enemy you think you are fighting against is often yourself. I hope this power thought is helpful for you, and i appreciate your feedback!

  • Life is filled with magic today!
Life is filled with magic today, the question is how much can you see? For the word "magic" I like to think of it with two definitions:
    1) An illusion, something to trick to people.
    2) A miracle, spell, something real.
The premise of this video is to explain that the world is full of miracles, it's just a matter of what what you are aware of in your own life. I hope this power thought is helpful for you, and I appreciate your feedback!

  • What is the difference between religion and spirituality?
What is the difference between religion and spirituality? To me, religion is someone else's personal experience, and spirituality is my own experience. Religion relates to miracles that have happened in other people's lives, and spirituality focuses on miracles that can happen in your life. Religion has taught me a spiritual way of living. Regardless of whether or not I believe in all the tiny details, I have become a much more grounded and spiritual person since I started studying multiple religions. I hope this is helpful for you, and I appreciate your feedback!

  • You cannot fix what you do not know is broken.
You can't fix what you don't know is broken. If you are not aware of a problem, you can't fix it. This is an idea that has saved my life on more than one occasion, and helps me to be the best person possible today. People often ask me if I can stop talking about my problems when I record these videos and focus on playing the game. Well, I have found that being open about the problems in my own life makes it easier to overcome them! If you struggle listening to other people's problems, this can often be a reflection of your willingness to neglect the problems in your own life. I hope this power thought is helpful for you, and I appreciate your feedback!

  • Nothing is a waste of time that I learn from.
Nothing that I learn from is a waste of time today. Anything that can teach me something leaves me better than I was before. One of my biggest pet peeves use to be wasting time. At any point I felt as if I was wasting my time, it was an instant shame trigger. For example, when a relationship would end I would immediately feel as if it was a waste of time. If I left a job, same thing. Today, I am thankful to now see that the only time wasted is that from which I do not learn. I hope this power thought is helpful for you, and I appreciate your feedback!

  • The most effective method of learning and teaching is by example.
The most effective method of learning and teaching is by example. If you have watched many of my vlogs, listened to my podcast, or read my blog posts I try to teach by example. However, I didn't always have this view regarding teaching or leadership in general. Most of my life I was exposed to a more authoritative approach to teaching. In other words, do as I do because of the position I hold in society. It wasn't until I started creating screen-capture tutorials online that I witnessed the power of teaching by example. I hope this power thought is helpful for you, and I appreciate your feedback!

  • Sometimes not having things go my way can be the best thing that happens to me..mp4
Sometimes not having things go my way is the best thing that can happen to me. I am reminded of this power thought when I think of my past experiences dating. I had a girlfriend in college who I was almost certain I would marry someday, but when things didn't work out it made me really upset. However, I couldn't be happier with my wife Laura and the life we've lived together thus far. It's funny how things sometimes don't work out in our favor, yet we overlook the long-term benefits. I hope this power thought is helpful for you, and I appreciate your feedback!

  • How to avoid going on tilt.
The most dangerous time for me is after I have made the first mistake. This is an idea that helps me to avoid making the same mistakes repeatedly, and from digging myself into a whole I cannot get out of. For all of you gamers out there, this power thought helps me to avoid going on "tilt." The phrase "going on tilt" comes from poker where a player is most likely to lose all of their money once they make a major mistake. They will become so obsessed with getting their money back, that they will begin to play foolishly. I just went down in this game of zombies I am playing, and I am most likely to go down again and lose the game immediately after making this first mistake. I am thankful today to be aware of the mistakes I make in life, and to avoid going on tilt! I hope this power thought is helpful for you, and I appreciate your feedback!

  • The stories I tell myself cause me the most pain.
It's not what other people do to me that's painful, it's that the stories I tell about it. When Google suspended my AdWords account back in 2012, it was really painful to see the e-mail because I had just run my first successful ad campaign. However, the real pain came from the bitter resentment I felt towards Google years after my account was suspended. The original suspension hurt, but the angry feelings I harbored towards Google years later are what caused me the most pain. I hope this power thought is helpful for you, and I appreciate your feedback!

  • When I find something that works, I try to do it every day.
When I find something that works today, I stick with it! This doesn't mean you shouldn't try new things, but if you would like to live a happy, productive life you should consistently do the things that make you happy as a person. I attend a daily support group that helps me to be a more productive and healthy person. I used to only attend meetings two times a week, but very quickly I realized that I have the same struggles each day, so it makes sense to attend the meetings daily. Today, I am thankful to have many practices that work for me on a daily basis, and this helps to give me peace of mind. I hope this power thought is helpful for you, and I appreciate your feedback!
