  • Where do I get the idea that I can do it all?
Where do we get the idea that we are capable of doing everything? Why is it we completely disregard our own limitations, and are surprised when they hit us in the face? Throughout my adult life, I often found myself setting unrealistic expectations. If this wasn't bad enough, not reaching my goals often served as a shame trigger. In fact, most of the pain & suffering throughout my adult life was the result of fighting with things I ultimately had no control over. I am thankful to have greater self-awareness today of what I can and cannot do! I hope this power thought is helpful for you, and I appreciate your feedback!

  • My 7 month old daughter shows more patience and honesty than I do!
My 7 month old daughter shows more patience and honesty than I do! In fact, I can learn from her by how she deals with her life. At 7 months old she can't feed herself, bathe herself, or use the toilet, and she isn't afraid to let her mother and I know when she needs help or is unhappy. Why is it that I have trouble admitting that I am unhappy, or will hold petty grudges with life? I hope this power thought is helpful for you, and I appreciate your feedback!

  • I am not responsible for my first thought today, only the second.
I am not responsible for the the first thought I have, today. I am however responsible for the second thought. This is an idea that helps to remove the guilt I have for thinking certain thoughts. For example, if someone were to cut me off while driving, my first thought would be to cuss or perform some kind of obscene gesture. I am happy to be in a place where I no longer act upon these impulses, but I still feel the guilt on my conscience. Today, I try to be more accepting of my thoughts, and this gives me peace of mind. I hope this power thought is helpful for you. and I appreciate your feedback!

  • The best revenge is living well.
It is often said that the best revenge is living well. If you want to "get even" with someone, the best thing you can do is live a good life today. In the past, I used to create elaborate revenge schemes for people I felt had wronged me. Or, when it came to dating, I always wanted to show off my current girlfriend to my former ones to show how much better I was doing. Now, you don't need to show others that you are living a good life. The point of living a good life is for you, the people who you feel a need to get even with are irrelevant. Hurting others will always end up bringing hurt back down on you. I hope this power thought is helpful for you, and I appreciate your feedback!

  • Why is it we know what to do and don't do it?
Why is it that we know what to do in life, and yet we don't do it? For example, I knew for most of my life if I wanted to maintain a healthy weight and look good I needed to eat clean and exercise. I knew that, and yet I couldn't practice it. I am thankful today to be able to practice what I know, and these daily videos serve as reminder for me to be the best person I can be in my own life. I hope this power thought is helpful for you, and I appreciate your feedback!

  • Timing is everything and I cannot control it.
It is often said that timing is everything in life, but what can you do if the timing is out of your control? I am grateful today to be able to see that I don't have control over one of the most important parts of life. Knowing that I do not have control over timing leaves room for faith. When I say "faith" I don't mean anything specific. You can have faith in those around you, a higher power, science, etc. The important thing is that you are open to things being completely out of your control at times. I hope this power thought is helpful for you, and I appreciate your feedback!

  • You can always try again.
It doesn't matter if you make a mistake in life, because you have the chance to try again. In fact, you can keep trying again every single day. No matter what you have done in the past, there's another chance to do it correctly. In the past, I was often afraid to change my poor behavior and bad habits. I would fall into a perpetual cycle of bad decision making, and it was if the pain & suffering was okay because it was all I knew. I hope this power thought is helpful for you, and I appreciate your feedback!

  • There are no other people!
There are only other people like me. This as an idea helps me to see that ultimately I am not dealing with anyone else, I am only dealing with myself. When you view people as being similar to yourself, life is a whole lot easier. I hope this power thought is helpful for you, and I appreciate your feedback!

  • Being trustworthy makes it easier to trust others.
A dishonest person has difficulty trusting other people, and an honest person is more trusting of others. For me, the dishonest acts I have committed in the past allow me to be a more trusting person today. If you can diagnose your own interactions with people in your life, it can help to identify your issues at a personal level, and then you can work to correct them. I hope this power thought is helpful for you, and i appreciate your feedback!
