Here is a summary of my mistakes in order from least costly to most expensive.

Trading USD to BTC on Bitstamp which cost me about $1,000.

Using personal loans to trade bitcoin costing about $3,000 in interest and losses.

Speculating on Bitcoin with client funds costing me about $5,000 in losses of the client's money which I recovered by selling my company website just in time to then spend the money for the client's campaign.

Making a dash budget proposal with no connections costing thousands in proposal fees and thousands more from failed proposals which might have passed if I had taken a few minutes to hang out in slack and make preproposals first.

Buying PIVX and Steem too Fast! In my excitement to get involved with Steem and PIVX, I bought high and then sold low on PIVX losing me some money while mostly missing out on a 40% off sale for Steem. In total, I would have got about $15,000 more worth of Steem with patience.

Selling Altcoins on Poloniex! In December 2016 I had 6 or 8 BTC of altcoins on Poloniex many of which went up 10 to 100 times. If I would have just held them and used other money to buy my Dash masternode, I would have made at least $25,000 more by following my own advice on not trading.

Selling 60 Bitcoin for $1750 each! After selling my Dash masternode, I was afraid to take any risk and unloaded all of my Bitcoin at $1750. It went up as high as $2,500 just days later which led me to miss out on about $50,000 just to have a little bit of faith and hold for a few days.

Selling 30 Bitcoin for $205 each! When the Bitcoin price was tumbling in 2015, I was certain at $170 it would never be that low again. Using every dollar I could get my hands on, I bought 30 Bitcoin mostly from $200 and below. With my personal debt piling up on me, I was in such a hurry to make a gain I sold everything for $205 each. Holding that two years would have produced a gain of about $130,000 meanwhile I would have done fine without the $5,000 or so I initially invested to buy it.

The second biggest mistake I have made was promoting dash, saying I would hold it, and selling instead. I unloaded by Dash on mostly Bitfinex at about $85 per Dash only to see the price nearly double just a couple weeks later. Meanwhile, I promoted Dash everywhere encouraging hundreds of thousands of people around the world to consider investing in Dash through Facebook ads and videos on YouTube. I PUMPED Dash up and then proceeded to DUMP it after I got my profit. While I made a healthy profit of $60,000+ over my initial investment and have money to reinvest because of it, how much in addition to the value of the Dash did I lose in being inconsistent and "scummy" as one YouTuber quoted? How many faithful followers did I lose in being so easy to change my mind?

What is the number one mistake I have made with cryptocurrencies online? By far the #1 mistake has been not following my own advice and thinking I was smarter than everyone else. If I took all the advice I gave in my videos, I probably would still have my Dash masternode, a huge portfolio of altcoins, and enough money to have invested some in the cryptocurrencies I am most excited about today albeit significantly less. If you total all of these mistakes up, the cost is at least $400,000 in cash I do not have today, missed opportunities, and assets worth less than had I been perfect.

Will the Bitcoin price reach $5,000 or $10,000 before it drops and bring the cryptocurrency market capitalization to over $100 billion? Are altcoins starting to sell off into BTC? Would you watch this video to hear my opinions based on the data I see? The Bitcoin price reached a record high of over $2,700 today May 25, 2017! Meanwhile, most of the alternative cryptocurrencies dropped anywhere from 5% to 15% in the last 24 hours which I think is signaling the ceiling for the altcoin bubble. SELL is my recommendation for nearly all the altcoins at this point with holding Bitcoin providing risk of a drop and a potential reward of doubling or tripling itself in value as the altcoins sell. That said, I was totally wrong about selling Bitcoin before at $1700 and about selling my Dash masternode at $87 when the price was $150 yesterday. My own advice allowed me to miss out on earning another $50,000+ in profit WHICH I AM OKAY WITH because there is always more money to be made. Trading crypto can be an addiction because of the constant need to get gratification from making more money and the huge hangover when the high wears off into fear resulting in desperate selling measures!

Learning when to sell and accepting missing out on potential gains in exchange for peace of mind has been a big challenge for me. I am grateful for the $75,000 I did make from buying Dash at $10 to $11 originally. Selling my Dash allowed me to discover another cryptocurrency which appears to not have been fully carried away by the bubble. Here is a summary of my system for deciding which altcoins to trust with my investments from USD into Bitcoin based on my experience first losing thousands of dollars investing in Bitcoin followed by making about $75,000 profit ($25,000 of which the US Treasury gets via the IRS) investing in Dash before selling my masternode using the system I show you here!

First, choose a starting point. The best value might be found towards the bottom where most currencies have a small market meaning an investment gets a large share of the total. Lower risk might be found at the top where the higher market cap cryptos have proven their worth.

Second, use Google to research the COMMUNITY. Fiat currencies gain value from the community of citizens inside and outside of a country making transactions. Digital currencies work the same way with the users buying, selling, trading, speculating, and holding defining the value.

Third, use what you have discovered about the members of the community to estimate the TRUE VALUE of the entire market. Smaller groups with less users tends to mean lower value. Active forums, passionate users, and valuable marketplaces tend to mean high value. Features tend to be worth very little if they can be copied by another startup easily whereas the community is not easily copied.

Fourth, compare your own research of the community to the relative position of the currency within its history and among other altcoins. If the market cap is higher than it ever has been by a lot, this makes a riskier investment because a regression to the mean will probably bring the price down to the true value. A market cap which has been greater in the past might make a good financial decision with the patience to buy and hold.

Fifth, assess your willingness to participate in the community and do your part to raise the value of the currency. Why give money to anyone you avoid hanging out with?

For making the most money, keep working this system daily, weekly, or monthly to keep up with changes. When I bought into Dash, all five of the steps above were true. The more I participated in the community, the more it seemed I might do better to find another. As the price of Dash went up, suddenly the true value of the market became overvalued and the marketcap went way over where it had ever been before. While drinking, I also got into gambling which felt like the most powerful addiction I ever experienced. Gambling exaggerated my money issues leaving me nearly bankrupt and ready for the end.

After experiencing the craziest parts of my life, will you continue learning about the more average addictions and challenges I experience which I think nearly everyone can relate to in some way? Why did I sell my Dash masternode when I said I was planning to keep it for a year? I sold it because the data shows what appears to be a giant cryptocurrency bubble now featuring the Bitcoin price as high as it has ever been. At the same time, there is an insane altcoin bubble featuring Ethereum and Ripple prices that are more then ten times higher than they were just a few months ago. Meanwhile, the price of DASH relative to BTC has been dropping since its high in March down to now less than half of what it was. What has kept the Dash price and most of the altcoins up is the Bitcoin price which could keep going up or could start a sell off as others realize the market has again gotten a bit ahead of the true value.

In 2013, the same kind of a bubble started where the price quickly went up nearly 10x in just a few months and then over the next year and a half proceeded to correct itself. We are just entering the same phase again which is why I sold and am holding USD as the prices likely decline for months to correct especially in the altcoins. For Dash specifically, when I invested a masternode was $11,000 and was an exclusive feature to Dash which combined with the budget seemed ideal for long term growth. Since then, not only do new cryptocurrencies have all the features of Dash but I have discovered the ability of masternodes in Dash specifically to fund their own growth is limited with masternode owners frequently voting no on the majority of new proposals by new community members even when there are no competing proposals or established budgets at the same price. This nearly eliminates the value of the entire budget system and to re-balance my portfolio, I sold all my Dash given this new data point plus the overwhelming recommendations of everyone else in my life to do so.

While on May 16, 2017 I am fairly certain there is a bubble, here is the data for you to see for yourself.
