Kathryn interviews Author Susan Hensley. When you were a child, there may have been no better feeling than picking up a crayon and letting your imagination run free. The joy, simplicity, and freedom of just creating was easy and honest. As you became an adult, life became complicated and overwhelming. Author and transformation coach, Susan Hensley, introduces us to art journaling, a helpful tool for navigating life transitions, cultivating mindfulness, processing emotions, building resilience, and uncovering inner wisdom. She shows how putting colors, shapes, and images on paper can be a profound path to self-discovery, emotional healing, and unleashing joy! She holds a BS in communication/social science from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MS in journalism from Northwestern University.Kathryn also interviews Dr. Andrew Elliston.Schools in two states experiencing a rise in Covid cases announced they were closing facilities and switching to remote learning. Alabama and Tennessee announced the closure of two schools — affecting more than a thousand children — just days into the new academic year, with officials saying the virus had forced them to shut down and carry out a 'deep clean.' At one of the schools, children had to abandon their desks and revert to remote learning for two days — a move reminiscent of the early days of Covid. Sharing his insight is Dr. Andrew Elliston, a board certified pediatrician based in New York City. He received his Doctorate of Medicine at Loma Linda University School of Medicine and completed his Pediatric Residency at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital. He has been chosen for inclusion on the “Super Doctors and Rising Stars of New York City Pediatricians” list by The NY Times in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024.
