Living in integrity requires an attitude of gentle openness. With curiosity one can contemplate one's own words, actions and behaviors with the intention of living in alignment with the highest Truth.

Beating oneself up internally with violent mental dialogues and self-judgements is not a helpful habit and simply creates and perpetuates inner suffering. If you notice this habit occuring don't try to stop it, simply observe it non-reactively. Trying to stop it is another form of inner violence, whereas simply observing it brings more consciousness to it, thereby depleting its power over you.
