July 31, 2023 Pray the Requiem in Latin
By far the simplest act of charity, that one can give is by praying the eternal rest prayer, for the souls of the faithful departed. Perhaps it may be the greatest act of charity that can be done; for the souls can do nothing to help themselves.
REQUIEM aeternam dona ei (eis), Domine, et lux perpetua luceat ei (eis). Requiescat (-ant) in pace. Fidelium animae, per misericordiam Dei, requiescant in pace. Amen..
ETERNAL rest grant unto him/her (them), O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him/her (them). And may the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

July 28, 2023 Learn the Actiones Nostras in Latin
Last week we prayed the Actiones Nostras and today we are going to learn how to pray it and remember it easily.
Direct O Lord, all of our actions by Thy holy inspirations, and carry them on by Thy gracious assistance, so that every prayer and work of ours may begin from Thee and by Thee be happily ended through Christ, our Lord. Amen.
(Fr. Chad Ripperger wording)
Actiones nostras, quaesumus Domine,
aspirando praeveni et adiuvando prosequere:
ut cuncta nostra oratio et operatio a te semper incipiat,
et per te coepta finiatur.
Per Christum Dominum nostrum.
Amen.

About The Latin Prayer Podcast

From the publisher's feed

We are living in difficult times, both in the Church and in the world. Now more than ever, ordinary Catholics must fight for the salvation of souls and personal sanctity. Latin is the universal language of the Church, made holy when it was nailed to the Cross with Christ (John 19:19–20). It connects us to the worship of Heaven and strengthens our prayers.
