The Legacy of a Black Physician: Dr. Uché Blackstock on Racism in Medicine

This week on The Journey, Morgan DeBaun welcomes Dr. Uché Blackstock, a Black female physician and author of her newly released book, Legacy: A Black Physician Reckons with Racism in Medicine, for a conversation on health disparities in the Black community. The conversation kicks off with Dr. Uché sharing the inspiring story of her mother's journey to becoming a doctor and how the presence of other Black women doctors influenced Dr. Uché's own path in the medical field. She and Morgan delve into the themes of Dr. Uché's new book, exploring the challenges faced by Black physicians and the historical impacts on health outcomes for Black people.
