This week, I headed out to East Bay Street in Charleston with my buddy Yeadon Smith. Yeadon is a real estate investor (as the Co-Founder of Live Oak Capital and Broker-In-Charge of Live Oak Real Estate) and educator (the Co-Founder of My First Million in Multifamily) from Summerville, SC. From wholesaling real estate in Miami, Florida while working for the real Wolf of Wall Street Jordan Belfort... to helping create a million-dollar real estate company... Nate certainly has a diverse background that can add value to almost anyone. Over the last 12 months, Nate has flipped over 30 properties in Charleston SC, launched a commercial real estate division to a company acquiring and purchasing over 100 apartment units, and is in the works of creating a private coaching platform. Nate was not always a real estate professional leading a successful company. He grew up in a town with a population of less than 5,000 people. Shortly after graduating high school, he joined the Army as a combat reconnaissance scout, then managed family-owned fitness facilities in Northern Virginia where he was forced to start as a janitor -- scrubbing toilets daily. Nate always said what you have done is nothing compared to what you can do. Do not let your past define you, put your head down, work your ass off, and be the best version of yourself.
