External success does not mean there are no internal struggles. And yet, we often idolize celebrities and follow people on social media that look like they “have it all together.” If you have ever heard me speak or read any of my books, you’ve probably heard me say that we need to stop comparing our insides to other people’s outsides. Well, today’s conversation is going to illustrate why.
My guest today is Tasha Layton. She is a contemporary Christian musician, Season 9 contestant on American Idol, former backup vocalist for Katy Perry, and named one of Billboard’s Top 5 female Christian artists of 2020. Despite all her success, she couldn’t escape the lies that had taken root early in her life.
In her new book, Look What You’ve Done, Tasha shares the lies she allowed herself to believe as she struggled with comparison, self-image, and the uncertainty of finding her purpose. And most importantly, Tasha shares how God continues to bring her wisdom and truth regarding who He is, and who she is meant to be.
In this conversation, you'll hear:
I hope this conversation brings you hope and helps you uncover the lies in your life!
