Show Notes
After an unremarkable, healthy pregnancy, Elizabeth Benton had her daughter, Dagny, on March 6th, 2020. Two weeks later, she was in an ambulance, rushing her baby girl to the hospital in Boston.
And on March 20th, Dagny passed away.
How did Elizabeth survive the unimaginable trauma of losing a child—amid a global pandemic? And what is she doing now to support other families navigating infant crisis and loss?
On this episode of The Live Out Loud Show, Elizabeth joins me to share Dagny’s story and describe what inspired her to start The Dagny Foundation 5K, an annual run and walk to support families dealing with the death of an infant child.
Elizabeth explains why people are hesitant to share their stories of infant crisis and loss, exploring what we can do to provide the emotional and financial support these families need to heal.
Listen in for insight around Love Out Loud’s partnership with The Dagny Foundation and learn how to impact families like Elizabeth’s by organizing a 5K wherever YOU are in the world!
