As the home to some of the finest Cabernet Franc’s, Chenin Blanc’s, and Sauvignon Blanc’s in the world, the Loire Valley is as prolific a region as they come. And when it comes to wine and cheese, no region can compete with the local goat cheeses and bright, textured white wines that so often accompany. And yet, the Loire Valley in some ways continues to live in the shadows of its neighboring regions of Bordeaux and Burgundy.
