Daily Prayer:

Heavenly Father, your son, Jesus, is your greatest gift to us, a great sign of your love. Guide us as we strive to walk in that love together as a family this Advent. As we prepare our hearts for Christmas, bring us closer to each other and to your son. Give us the grace and strength we need every day. Help us to always trust in you. Come, Lord Jesus, lead all people closer to you. Come and dispel the darkness of our world with the light of your love. Amen.

Heavenly Father, I come before you seeking your calming presence to bring peace to my troubled heart. My soul feels like a restless sea, tossing and turning with worries. I place my trust in your boundless love, knowing that you will heal the stress and anxiety that weights me down and burdens me. Light up the darkness Lord and let your light shine the way for me. Amen.

Daily Prayer:

Lord Jesus,
Master of both the light and the darkness, send your Holy Spirit upon our preparations for Christmas.
We who have so much to do and seek quiet spaces to hear your voice each day,
We who are anxious over many things look forward to your coming among us.
We who are blessed in so many ways long for the complete joy of your kingdom.
We whose hearts are heavy seek the joy of your presence.
We are your people, walking in darkness, yet seeking the light.
To you we say, "Come Lord Jesus!'
Amen.

O merciful God, take pity on those souls who
have no particular friends and intercessors to
recommend them to Thee, who, either through
the negligence of those who are alive, or through
length of time are forgotten by their friends and

Let not the souls which Thou hast created be

May the souls of all the faithful departed, through
the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Amen.

Schwartz Investment Counsel, Inc., a registered investment adviser established in 1980, serves as investment adviser for Ave Maria Mutual Funds. The Adviser invests in securities only if they meet the Funds’ investment and religious requirements, and as such, the returns may be lower or higher than if the Adviser made decisions based solely on investment considerations. The Funds’ method of security selection may or may not be successful and the Funds may underperform or outperform the stock market as a whole. All mutual funds are subject to market risk, including possible loss of principal. The Funds’ investments in small and mid-capitalization companies could experience greater volatility than investments in large-capitalization companies. AVEWX invests in foreign securities and securities issued by U.S. entities with substantial foreign operations. Investments in these securities can involve additional risks relating to political, economic or regulatory conditions in foreign countries. These risks include less stringent investor protection and disclosure standards of some foreign markets; fluctuations in foreign currencies; and withholding or other taxes. AVEFX invests primarily in fixed income securities and as a result the Fund is also subject to the followings risks: interest rate risk, credit risk, credit rating risk, prepayment and extension risk and liquidity risk. At times, the Funds may overweight a position in a particular issuer or emphasize investment in a limited number of issuers, industries or sectors, which may cause their share prices to be more susceptible to any economic, business, political or regulatory occurrence affecting an issuer than funds that are more widely diversified. Today's Prayer:

O God, from Whose hands cometh the peace the world cannot give, give us the light to see that peace is the work of Justice, and the concord of all nations the fruit of obedience to Thy Law and Thy Commandments. May we seek not so much to be consoled as to console; to be understood, as to understand; to be loved, as to love, that in pardoning we may be pardoned, and in giving we may receive. We pray for our President, for our Congress, for our homes, our people, our children, our brokenhearted, that we may be reverent in the use of freedom, just in the exercise of power, generous in the protection of weakness, merciful to those who have been our enemies. Not for our worthiness, but because of Thy tender mercy hear our prayer that we may so pass through things temporal as not to lose the things eternal, O Christ Jesus, Our Lord.

In a recent memo ahead of the annual Climate Summit, Bill Gates considerably toned down the narrative of climate change alarmism, saying the main focus shouldn't solely be on the climate, but instead on improving people's lives. In this episode of The Deep, Erika discusses the rise and fall of climate alarmism. She dives into the history of the "global warming" apocalypse narrative, and turns to John Paul II to gain a proper human-centered approach to environmentalism.
