Everyone is looking for that “perfect” balance in life - work/life balance, balance between friends and romantic relationships, balance between eating healthy and grabbing drinks with friends, etc. However, everyone’s “perfect balance” looks different based on their own set of priorities.
In this episode, Molly and Tricia outline basic categories of life to prioritize. While “work/life”balance has become a hot topic for companies and employees alike, “work” and “life” aren’t the only two categories to consider. Taking it further, we discuss ways to set boundaries around maintaining the priorities you’ve decided upon and, of course, how to communicate those boundaries to others.

Hors d'oeuvres at parties, weekend brunches, charcuterie boards at networking functions…the majority of social events include some form of eating or drinking. Mealtime has long since provided an opportunity to build social connections and friendships. For those with limited diets, though, food-centric social events can present a challenge.
In today’s episode, Molly and Tricia discuss ways to navigate unique dietary situations to avoid feelings of social isolation and exclusion. We discuss struggles Tricia is currently facing with her own new health plan, ways to empathize with others while still being supportive, and how to be social without letting your diet inhibit you.

It’s far easier to maintain friendships with people who are similar to you: same age, similar career, same marital status, etc. More challenging, though, is keeping up with friends when you find yourself in different stages of life. Maybe one of you just had a baby and the other parties every night. Or you’re still paying student loans while your friend married a billionaire. Whatever the case may be, your friendship shouldn’t suffer!
Today Molly and Tricia discuss how to navigate those tricky situations when you and your friend suddenly seem so different. We’ll discuss strategies to keep the friendship strong, including finding your timeless commonalities, being sensitive to the other’s situation, and of course, taking perspective.

“So….ummm….what are we?”
During the initial phases of a relationship, it can be difficult to know exactly where you stand with your romantic partner. Becoming “official” with that person can prompt a tricky, awkward, and vulnerable conversation!
In today’s episode, Molly and Tricia pull from their own experiences to discuss what it means to define the relationship - aka putting a label on things. They talk about determining when the time is right, phrases you can use, and why this conversation matters in the first place.

Meyers Briggs, enneagrams, temperaments - there exist a number of personality frameworks designed to help us better understand ourselves and others.
In this episode, Molly and Tricia dive into their own personality types based on Meyers Briggs and how those four little letters helped them better identify, understand, and accept themselves. They also discuss how knowing a loved one’s personality type (based on any of the aforementioned frameworks) can help us communicate more effectively with them.
