In this episode, Monica gets the chance to connect with her good friend and teacher Carrie Sobeck. Carrie is KPJAYI Authorized L2 Ashtanga Yoga teacher and Ayurvedic Practitioner. She created Mysore Las Vegas which is a leading Ashtanga yoga program here in the heart of Sin City and has just started an Ayurvedic practice.
Ashtanga yoga is an ancient system of yoga recorded by Vamana Rishi in the Yoga Korunta. Shri. K. Pattabhi Jois was taught this method by Tirumalai Krishnamacharya in 1927. This practice promotes the purification of a person's overall wellness, allowing a person's true nature to shine through.
Ayurveda is the traditional medicine of India and the oldest system of healthcare in the world. This modality promotes both preventative and curative medicine that has been practiced for over 5,000 years!
Not only do we get to learn about these modalities in this episode, we also get to learn more about Carrie’s story leading up to finding her path with Ashtanga and Ayurveda.
