If you love to plan for things, you already know that thinking ahead has some serious benefits in the mental peace department –when you plan things in advance, you remove some of the uncertainty that our brains tend to associate with all future-related events. In this week’s episode, I’ll share with you what the financial benefits of thinking ahead are and how you can put yourself in future-me thinking mode.
You don’t need to specialize in financial forecasting to understand that, when it comes to personal finances, making decisions and planning with your future self in mind has some major advantages. Intuitively, we all know that long-term planning (aka, thinking ahead) coupled with consistency is, admittedly, one of the best strategies out there.
However, when you are immersed in the day-to-day grind, where the rhythms of life pulse in a never-ending staccato, it's easy to forget that there’s more to the day than your never-ending to-do list. You also have goals and dreams, future projects and plans that are brewing in the back, a vision of how you want your life to be. And none of that will come to fruition today, or even over the next few days.
The only way to access that well of possibilities is by harvesting the power of thinking ahead and planning for your future success.
Although every human being is already equipped with all the tools needed to plan and think about their future selves, not everyone knows how to intentionally tap into that pool of possibilities.
